− | : Please create a new section for a new discussion topic. Your addition was rather confusingly worded, but there seems to be a connection between disguising and submodels being hidden. − | == Weapon Demonstration Video ==
| |
− | | |
− | I'm thinking about doing the Weapon Demonstration Video for the disguise kit, but I don't know how I'm supposed to start, since you can't really kill with the disguise kit. Should I disguise as every person on the enemy and my team? Or should I just disguise as one person for each team? Should I also switch disguise weapons for each class? --Shawnchi 07:21, 16 September 2011 (PDT)

− | == Hitbox does not change == | |
− | | |
− | Elsewhere on the wiki is stated that the spy's hitbox for hitscan weapons does not change by disguising. It should be interesting to add this to the demonstation. We could at least add it to trivia. Check the hit detection section on the mechanics page. K-Raider NL 05:02, 29 April 2012 (PDT)

− | == Duel Bug? ==
| |
− | | |
− | I accidently pressed H once when disguised as a Friendly Soldier, and it brought up the dueling menu you get when you use a Dueling Minigame. It doesn't work though, because I don't have Dueling Minigames to begin with. I asked the guy I was disguised as and he said that he does have minigames, though I'm not sure if he has them equipped in the action slot or not. I'm not sure if this is a bug or something else, I'd just like to point that out to see what we can label it as. Bruss48 12:15, 25 July 2012 (PDT)
| |
− | :I've seen it occur too, and know why. Spies equip the wearable items of their disguise targets as disguise wearables. The Dueling minigame (and other action items) are classified as wearables internally. It's a funny bug, but I don't know if it should go here or on the Action items page. -FlaminSarge 16:14, 25 July 2012 (PDT)

− | ==Thoughts on the Strange Disguise Kit==
| |
− | | |
− | Anyone have any speculation on whether they think there'll be a Strange Disguise Kit or not? Everyone seems to think that with the inclusion of the Strange Kukri, all of the stock weapons now have strange counterparts - but it isn't true, the Disguise Kit is also a stock weapon. It isn't nameable, but it still appears in the backpack when stock items are shown. Ivor (talk) 19:21, 19 June 2013 (PDT)
| |
− | :Thus far nothing has been said about it. Besides, the Wiki isn't a place for speculation, it's a place for facts. If you want speculation, I suggest going over to SPUF. ~Sven~ (talk) 19:34, 19 June 2013 (PDT)

| |
− | | |
− | I was snooping around this page, and I looked down to the Trivia and saw a reference to the Spycrab. When I clicked to check out the Community fads page again, though, it took me to the Spycrab item, and not the Community Fads page (https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Community_fads#Spycrab). If someone could fix that, I would appreciate it. I would do it myself, but I have no clue how to edit.

− | == Mention taunt? ==
| |
− | | |
− | Perhaps we could mention the taunts for the Disguise Kit. I have noticed that it can only be activated when undisguised and while Disguise Kit is active. So I wrote the following so far:
| |
− | | |
− | Taunting while not disguised and with the Disguise Kit active will perform one of two possible taunts.
| |
− | | |
− | However, I haven't quite gotten the words in that sentence to make sense. Since there are no official names for these taunts (personally I call them "Cigarette Flick" and "Spycrab" respectively), I cannot write down "...perform either the Cigarette Flick or the Spycrab taunt". Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 09:29, 23 November 2019 (UTC)

− | :"Taunting while not disguised and with the Disguise Kit active will perform one of two possible taunts: One where the Spy flicks away his cigarette and takes a new one from the case, and one where the Spy activates his crab-walking kit, grins, and does a short dance while clicking his fingers and cigarette case like pincers. There is approximately a one-tenth chance of this occurring when taunting with the disguise kit active." This is a direct quote from the Spy taunts page, feel free to improve on this.
GrampaSwood (talk) 10:09, 23 November 2019 (UTC)

− | == Why is the spy's disguise kit missing 1 ciggerate? (my idea why) ==
| |
− | | |
− | if you look at the spy's disguise kit it is missing a ciggerate so... i think possible that the blue spy could be the red spy, and the red spy is the blue spy because they are a "spy" so they would proberly sneak behind the enemy lines to capture intellegence of the enemy so... my conclusion of my idea is that the red\blue spy disguised himself as the blue/red spy. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Spy main (talk) • (contribs) 18:29 CST 16/12/2019

− | == Unlisted bug related to the disguise menu randomly disappearing for no reason. ==
| |
− | | |
− | There is a bug with the Disguise Kit that I have encountered a good few times where when I take out the disguise kit and try to disguise, the menu instead just disappears, leaving me unable to do anything but switch weapons and try again. The viewmodel of the disguise kit is still there, but the dialogue menu is not. I don’t have any footage or screenshots unfortunately, but I did find a discussion page about what I think is the same bug. I want to know if anyone else has experienced this bug or if they have any clue what causes it. --YeetZmeN (talk) 06:24, 24 April 2022 (UTC)
