The Demoman, blacking out

The Samur-Eye is a community-created promotional headwear item for the Demoman. It is a black kabuto helmet with a wide, pale yellow crescent mounted on the front, separating it from the Killer's Kabuto.

This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Total War: SHOGUN 2 on Steam before March 15, 2011.

Notes

Trivia

  • The Samur-Eye was inspired by the helmet worn by the samurai lord Date Masamune, also known as the "One-Eyed Dragon", who, similarly to the Demoman, lost one of his eyes during his youth.
    • Unlike the Demoman, Date Masamune lost his right eye. Whilst he lost vision in his eye due to smallpox, it is unclear how he lost the eye altogether.
  • The Samur-Eye makes an appearance on the promotional pictures for the Total War Master Collection, even though the item itself is not included in the bundle.
