About shoulder pads

First of all, this vest was marked as a part of unofficial 'Frontline' community update (see Workshop thumbnail, for an example). Whole update theme is all about WW2, and such shoulder pads (M2 shoulderpads, for an example) were a part of mortair/heavy artillery carrier's uniform, but also they were in use for paratroopers (see here for an example). Also, the name of item itself (Flakcatcher, literally "one who's catching FlaK gun blasts") implying that it's something related to paratroopers. Irvitzer (talk) 09:17, 31 May 2017 (PDT)

Harness ≠ Vest

Wouldn't it be more closer to the new TFC model than the old model? Since the new model actually wears a similar vest while it's a harness on the old model. ODSP (talk) 21:51, 6 June 2017 (PDT)

I don't think so. Flakcatcher was submitted as a part of Veteran collection/set, along with Skullcap, face-paint and old TFC/HL Rocket Launcher remodel (the last two didn't make it to the TF2 yet). But you can just ask the item's author about references. Irvitzer (talk) 08:25, 7 June 2017 (PDT)
Well, I've asked Greg and he comfirmed that the item's design was ispired by new model. I'll revert my edit then. Irvitzer (talk) 10:23, 7 June 2017 (PDT)
