who put that information about the cheaters lament being distributed via a glitch during Halloween back there when it was removed for a good reason, i didn't put it back there yet it's still there why is that?

Sniper Strategy

I am messaging both of you about this. For some information, please do not just remove information that may be prevalent blindly. It is much, much more productive to go the discussion section to see what the community thinks rather then undoing and redoing each others edits. Thank you! ok will do sorry this may sound stupid but can you give me a link to the discussion page to i may discuss my strategy? Lexicon249 03:05, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Talk:Community_Sniper_strategy i should have put that in there to begin with, by the way, regarding discussion sections. when creating a new topic be sure to create a heading by using two equals signs and then your title then two more equals signs, as follows: == Sniper Strategy == also if you are the second poster use a semicolon (:) without the parentheses to indent your comment. Finally, i see you have edited it in but try to remember to sign comments in discussion sections with ~~~~ Thank you! K-MacTfccivilian thumb.png (Talk | Contrib) 03:11, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
To add to this, if you have a comment to leave for a user, please use their talk page and not there user page. Thanks again. K-MacTfccivilian thumb.png (Talk | Contrib) 03:19, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
I'll state my case here. The first part of the strategy had been previously mentioned ("If you are entering a new area...try and use crouch to peek out"). The second part is rather subjective, and would probably result in more deaths than not if followed. Parts also generally lacked correct grammar, something lots of people are sticklers for (Articles do try to appear semi-professional, as gaming-related as they may be). I do agree, however, with your latest edit, but probably for different reasons.InShane 03:21, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
I copied this argument to the discussion page for the Sniper Strategy. More individuals will weigh in on the topic before a final decision is made. K-MacTfccivilian thumb.png (Talk | Contrib) 03:32, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Achievements

Did someone do something to the achievements to cause them not to be edited by just anyone? because sometimes when I browse them i found errors in how to perform them (the good things are they at least get fixed) this is just out of curiosity so that next time i find an error i can email someone asking if what i think the error is, is infact an error. Lexicon249 03:39, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Well, I'm the one who's currently revising "Obtaining Achievements" to make them easier on the eyes (I don't insert too much additional information unless it's really missing something). As of now I've only done Soldier, Pyro, and Demoman, and only attempt to take redundant information out (if someone says they can get an achievement a certain way, I won't delete it, no matter how absurd it may seem. Using the Equalizer's taunt with the Rocket Jumper equipped to achieve the highest possible rocket jump comes to mind...). Since I'll probably be attacking whatever you saw later in this little revision spree, you could just do the edit yourself or give me what ya want to add it. It's likely it appears that many of the edits are mine because I edit achievements in blocks of either five or ten, and many of the previous edits are summed up by "Imported from TF2 Wiki." So, uh, which ones are you concerned with (I pray not Soldier, Pyro, or Demoman)? InShane 04:15, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Image test

was told to edit achievements for something this is just a test to see if i can import images

First you need to upload your image by clicking the upload file link in the toolbox to the left, but be sure to follow the user image guidelines. Then to show it in a page simply use something like

[[File:Item icon Natascha.png]]. I recommend also reading the wikitext help here. -- Lagg Backpack Stickybomb Launcher.png 04:27, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

If you're talking about achievement icons then the syntax is like this:

Single achievement:

Sap Auteur
Sap Auteur
Destroy 1000 Engineer buildings with sappers.

Multiple achievements:

Sap Auteur
Sap Auteur
Destroy 1000 Engineer buildings with sappers.

Sap Auteur
Sap Auteur
Destroy 1000 Engineer buildings with sappers.
Sap Auteur

ok thankyou for the help ill get working on the spy related achievements for the Dispenser right now if no one has any objections. Lexicon249 04:32, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

A Cut Above

I have been seeing that alot of the spy's pistols have a specific achievement 'A Cut Above' This is not true seeing as the achievement is not specific to any pistol meaning shouldn't be included in the achievement section for spy achievements

I saw another user trying to talk about a table modification i did like it but i thought i would go a step further and try to reduce some unnecessary things.

  • You can notice that the table height is much smaller then before
  • The image of the flamethrower has only been reduced by 25% so that it's still visible but reduced table height.
  • I have merged the Ammo Loaded and Ammo carried into one table because those 2 can be put into the same general column as seen above.
  • Another noticeable edit is the that instead of having the stats shown under one another e.g. the airblasts had the number ten a line under it but this way the number is right next to it and helps in the height reduction..
  • The most change that will happen (but least noticeable) if this takes affect is that the wiki pages with these tables will have their size changed a fair bit making the page smaller but with still the same amount of information.

I want as much critique as i can get on this to help the pages improve in tidiness and size to reduce the amount of download the user will have to go through (even though not much it will all add up). I really hope this idea is not frowned apon but i will accept improvement ideas to enhance these table's size and capacity. Lexar 12:36, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

You know.... that looks really good! I like your idea man! Altair 00:51, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
