The Frenchman's Beret is a community-created headwear item for the Spy. It is a team-colored artist's beret, with two miniature paint brushes criss-crossing on the left side.
The hat description was written by SoulDestroy for the Hat Describing Contest and was slightly edited by Valve.

Trivia
- This hat was originally named "Bourgeois Beret" before Valve renamed it.
- Although berets are normally shown being worn by both men and women and are usually associated with France, they are in fact specific only to the Pyrenees, in the Béarn region. It has also been occasionally a traditional or fashionable headgear in the Netherlands and Italy.
