TF2Maps is a community website whose focus is on the creation of custom Team Fortress 2 mapping.
TF2Maps is set up primarily as a forum. Maps, models, textures, and tutorials have their own threads in various sections. There are a variety of maps found at TF2maps for any game mode, environment, or stage of development. There are tutorials regarding topics such as the Valve Hammer Editor, level design, optimization, detailing, and flow. Playtests are held regularly that provide feedback for creating a better map.

Server
The TF2Maps server currently resides in New York(United States). The server is used for testing maps and is running a map rotation with both custom and stock maps. Impromptu testing is held regularly, along with scheduled events called "Gamedays" where mappers can register their creations for more organized testing. Gamedays occur every week. They usually run for a maximum of three hours.
Feedback Plugin
The Feedback Plugin was created by Gaming Masters user Geit for the purpose of simplifying the feedback process on custom maps. Utilizing the annotations added with training mode, the Feedback Plugin allows users to simply place feedback directly into a map with a simple chat command. Once placed, the map author can toggle the annotations' visibility in-game or can check the Feedback page to see the comments listed.
Authors can also claim maps via the website. When a map has been claimed, the author is able to upload a screenshot, change their map's name and version, toggle the ability for users to give feedback, and download the comments as a .vmf file. Authors can also delete individual comments from their map's page.
Swamp Theme
On August 4, 2009, TF2Maps released the Swamp Theme, a pack of custom swamp-themed textures, props, and particle effects for mappers to use. The pack was updated on January 23, 2010 with additional items. It is widely believed that the Swamp Theme is now officially included in Team Fortress 2 because of its usage in Mountain Lab, however, it was collected by Valve months in advance before the conclusion of the Art Pass Contest in preparation for the case that a map purchased for officialization (possibly the winner of the Art Pass Contest) included assets from the Swamp Theme.
Construction Theme
On January 14, 2011, TF2Maps released the Construction Theme, a pack of custom construction-themed textures and props for mappers to use. arena_hardhat was used as the flagship map.
