Ball

The game files say that this item causes the player to spawn with a physics "toy" (the ball seen in the promo). Once I can confirm this, where should I add it? -FlaminSarge 16:32, 13 October 2011 (PDT)

Footsteps

When wearing these your footstep sounds are changed to fit the sounds of walking in these boots. Not sure where to put that on the page. - Devozade 05:11, 14 October 2011 (PDT)

I think it would fit nicely right alongside the top text, or trivia. DDSN 08:03, 14 October 2011 (PDT)

Paintable

This item is paintable, so someone needs to do that big table thing. --Kardia Munr 17:29, 14 October 2011 (PDT)

Should I add this to trivia?

Soccer Ball: Gameplay or Mechanics in Notes, Trivia, or Lead?

@Danio: The general question is where to best put mechanics of an Item, particularly for Items with rather distinctive or uncommon mechanics. The literal parsing of your explanation for the reversions is that you "never saw that format of the text" is that you have either neither seen bullets in the Lead, or mechanics in the Lead. I must state that I was not particularly happy with the use of the particular bullet lists of the mechanics of the item, I agree that they did look awkward -- I should have spent more time writing it into text in the lead (at the time, I didn't think of the following solution in the precedents). As far as examples of mechanics in the Lead or sections following the the Lead instead of Trivia or Notes, I would refer to the pages of maps with unique mechanics, particularly Halloween Maps.

In retrospect, I would think that all Gameplay/Mechanics about the Soccer Ball be put under the heading === Soccer Ball ===, probably before the TOC, with a Soccer Ball redirect to the section (there already is a Soccer redirect to the page). There is ample precedent for this. Is this a solution you accept?

Information about Gameplay or Mechanics is not Trivia (we certainly agree) but Notes sections IMO are more (for example) particularly notable development histories that can't make the Trivial style (e.g., someone who really needs to be honored for the a particularly contribution to the game or other information that should be offered that is not trivial, and is not Gameplay). Gamplay and Mechanics belong high in the page, not buried in Notes or Trivia, even in Item pages, IMO. Lets try with === Soccer Ball === first. Will see how it'll look like. Dan 17:37, 23 November 2018 (UTC) ( conflicting exit restored by Mikado282) 20:30, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

P.S. Lunchbox Items are examples of Items with Mechanics above the TOC. Also, I wonder if ther were ever any servers set up to play soccer with this. M I K A D O πŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒ πŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒ πŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒ (talk) (To Do) 17:52, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

And if it is me writing it up, I would wait until I'm back home and have a chance to buy one and play with it first. M I K A D O πŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒ πŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒ πŸ¦ƒπŸ¦ƒ (talk) (To Do) 21:00, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
