Only because it should

I suggest a golden wrench somewhere on the page. doesnt need to be very big. its a list of owners of a specific and rare weapon. -= M-NINJA Burger Gib.png =- 21:45, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Golden Wrench
Pictogram plus.png Support I think it would look good in the top right corner Natemckn 21:50, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Here - Golden Wrench - one golden wrench ready for use -= M-NINJA Burger Gib.png =- 21:52, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Maybe we could do this for all the lists Scatmanjohn 21:56, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
I dont know how it would work for the community weapon list, but the polycount pin & wiki cap lists would work well Natemckn 21:57, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Generic sparkle weapon perhaps, but it would definately work with wiki cap and pin lists Scatmanjohn 21:59, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Pictogram plus.png Support All the lists should have a simple example of their corresponding item. For the community weapon, we can have a either 1 weapon with the sparkles, or an collage of the weapons with the sparkle effect. -= M-NINJA Burger Gib.png =- 22:01, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

A column for deleted wrenches

About 30 wrenches have been deleted from the game. I think a column should be made for all the deleted wrenches. A check mark if its ingame, and an X if it was deleted --Stevoisiak 22:36, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't know, isn't the lack of an item link and the "Deleted for charity" enough? Could be cool though -- User Swordz Swordz.pngSwordzUser Swordz Swordz.png (talk | contribs) 22:37, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
Or under the item link column we could put "Deleted" Natemckn 22:38, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
Not really needed, we already use the notes section for this and it allows us to go into more detail if they were deleted for a specific reason. Scatman JohnUser Scatman.png (Talk | Contrib) 22:39, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
I think the notes are enough. And I only counted 16 deletions? User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 22:40, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
If TF2 items is to go by, more than 16 wrenches have been deleted. http://www.tf2items.com/lists/golden_wrenches/ --Stevoisiak 21:39, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
It says 'deleted' when the backpack is made private. User Moussekateer signature sprite.pngMoussekateer·talk 21:47, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Wrench Number 101

Recently, a new golden wrench was awarded to a user named Vulcnor, there should be some discussion about the best way to cover this new development. The actual wrench: [1] User ScatmanJohn Logo.pngScatman JohnUser Scatman.png (Talk | Contrib) 00:54, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

The Wrench in question is present in this backpack: http://optf2.com/user/vulcnor. As mentioned above, should it be included? Is it official or merely a test item? If it is the latter, should it be included anyway? Thoughts? Esquilax 00:56, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
An email has been floating round suggesting it was from a charity auction, but I personally can't remember there being one, unless it was just referring to the top donor of the golden charity User ScatmanJohn Logo.pngScatman JohnUser Scatman.png (Talk | Contrib) 00:58, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
I don't remember anything about a Charity Auction either, but it is curious that it is number #101 when only 100 were released officially. A special case, perhaps?Esquilax 00:59, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
You think we would have heard something about this. Publicity about a charity auction for this item would be wonderful for it. If people are willing to pay $500+ for an Unusual Sunbeams Kabuto, I would imagine that they could get some great donations/bids for 'wrench 101'. Seems weird that nothing has surfaced -- CptObvious 01:30, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
UPDATE: mystery more or less solved- Robin says that at the Child's play charity auction, one of the "items" up for bid was 1 of every single tf2 item, including a golden wrench and a soldier's medal. This guy was the winner of that, which is why he has 1 of everything, including these limited run items. Here is that reference email:

Hope that clears things up... -- CptObvious 02:06, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Death of wrench owners

It is indeed very sad to hear that one of the golden wrench owners may have passed away. However, including this information does not add anything to the article and it is not relevant to TF2. -- Pilk (talk) 21:06, 28 July 2011 (PDT)
