Foster's Facade

It's obvious from the rollbacks on your addition to the Foster's Facade's trivia section that people don't agree with your opinion. Why not try consulting the editors on the talk page instead of edit warring? --Fragment of Nothing 03:18, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Foster's Facade Trivia

Hello, recently you have been repeatedly posting the same trivia item to the Foster's Facade article, even though it has been removed more than twice. "Equipping the Foster's Facade will remove a nozzle from Pyro's default gas mask." The Foster's Facade is an entirely new gas mask on top of the Pyro's original one, therefore this does not apply. Please read the Trivia Style guide before posting more trivia, it's a great page to learn what is accepted as proper trivia here on the Wiki. Kryzoid 03:19, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Unnecessary Edits

I've noticed that quite a few of your edits have involved replaceing "it" with the full name of the item in question in the first paragraph of an item page - this is a tad unnecessary and makes the first paragraph read badly. It's futile to try and edit every page in this way, and I don't want to chase you around undoing your edits, so please take note of this. On another note, the quotations you added to the Item Sets page made me laugh. Keep up the good work! - Cooper Kid (Blether)·(Contreebs) 11:19, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Early in my life, I was taught that referring to objects or people with pronouns was against the rules. Overuse of pronouns can confuse a reader, and the reader can lose track of what the writer was actually referring to. For example if you read the sentence "The Spy should sap the Sentry, then quickly backstab the Engineer before he can unsap the Sentry to kill you. If he can take it off of it, then it can kill you before you can kill him or escape." You'd have no idea what the writer was referring to with those those instances of the word "it". However, this is supposed to be an encyclopedia. That fact kind of supports both our sides. Constant clarity is important, but articles are about a specified subject, and I don't typically avoid pronouns when it's already clear what the sentence is about. I'll see if I can work around things and make my edits a bit shorter, but you'll have to excuse me if I can't. Thank you for the compliment, though. SilverHammer 11:26, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

How does "The Sydney Sleeper is a community-made weapon for the Sniper that occupies the primary slot." sound awkward? It's structurally correct. SilverHammer 04:17, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

Pyro's tank

The reason I removed the bit about the Pyro's tank containing oxygen rather than fuel is covered on the Pyro talk page. It includes discrepancies in the placement of the guage and valve of the Pyro's tank versus the oxygen tanks of firemen, and the fact that the Pyro is wearing a filter mask, and not a rebreather with tubes leading back to the tank. DJNerd 20:07, 5 July 2011 (PDT)

about the "meet the medic"

Being one of those who added the outtakes, it occurs to me that you need to do one, or both, of these things. 1: makes a message under notes that indicates that the outtakes are not acceptable fodder for notes. If there is some code that you can use that only displays the message in the edit screen then that might be the perfect place to put it. (also, I think making a nod to the spy's head being in the outtakes is appropriate, because that seems to be the most likely place they got the idea to put it in, and as you disagree with most notes about the outtakes, possibly you should be the one to put it there to ensure that it has the correct quality.) 2: Possibly make a notes section for the outtakes. There seems to be a flood of notes regarding it,and it's not plainly visible to most, possibly because it hasn't been said but I don't know, that such things are not cannon. There seems to have been a good deal of thought that went into that storyline from the creators, at least shown on youtube, and I think that is what is causing this.

Just my ideas, and should you have been cleaning up other misguided wiki edits I have made then thank you for keeping the style of the wiki clean in my wake. Skywerewolf 13:20, 12 July 2011 (PDT)

Alright, I put a bit of thought in to it. I don't think either of those are necessary, considering that they're just outtakes. The reason Spy's head is in the video is because they loved the gag so much, and wanted to keep it in some form, in the final cut. They pretty much said so on the blog. I wouldn't exactly call it a flood of edits, since it was just two guys. Between the five bits added by the two of you, none of them are in line with the style guide. Bonk Helm Trivia

I've created an account on this wiki only to show you my disapproval about your last edit to the Bonk Helm article. I see you are an influent contributor, but I didn't catch what you mean with "bad trivia", which is extremely subjective. In the first part of the trivia was a short text about the origins of the hat (in real-life), which should be in every weapon/hat article, according to me. It is a very valuable piece of information. The second part was about the origins of the hat in-game, and I found it most interesting to know that the idea was contributed by Mister Royzo, which is also, I think, most valuable piece of information and should be stated in every hat/weapon article if it hasn't yet. I would just like to know what motivated you to delete this trivia. Edit: I just realized you did this to other articles as well, like Troublemaker's Tossle Cap or Whoopee Cap. I think most people wouldn't like it. The Whoopee Cap trivia was definetely interesting.--Loadingue 08:10, 30 July 2011 (PDT)

Here on the Official Team Fortress Wiki, we abide by a strict style guide when making or removing edits. The reason that the bit about the drinking helmet was removed from the Bonk Helm article was because it's an observation, unrelated to the hat itself. The drinking hat created by Royzo has nothing to do with the actual Bonk Helm. They don't even really resemble one another... I'd imagine there were a few drinking hats for the Scout before the official Bonk Helm was released, if we noted one made by a more popular contributor, we'd have to note them all. The article just isn't about those hats, it's about the Bonk Helm.

Same thing applies to the Whoopee Cap. The buttons on the hat aren't trivia, you can see what they are just by looking at it. One piece on the Tosslecap, however, should be added back. I'm not sure why I removed this one, but references in the name/descriptions are usually good to have. I hope that between what I've said, and the fact that you now have access to the guide, we have cleared this up. If not, then let me know what you think would be best to do. And I appreciate that "influential contributor" remark. Got me all giddy. :3 --SilverHammer 11:05, 30 July 2011 (PDT)

You're welcome. Otherwise I'm afraid this is not over, I've still a couple of things to say. I think the origins of a hat/weapon are extremely important, since they focus on the character itself. That's how you could tell which class uses a particular hat, just by looking at it. To me, Bonk Helm looks terribly empty. This thing is a hat for the Scout. Nuff said. Believe me, the readers want to know what kind of hat this is, even if you don't explain why it belongs to this class, since it would be speculative. A simple link to a wikipedia article would be useful.

Now, about Mister Royzo. I seriously think you didn't see the right hat, since the right one is simply identical to the TF2 item. I even think Mister Royzo should be directly credited as the author of this hat. And finally, about that Whoopee Cap, seriously, most readers just can't see the buttons, and probably won't even recognize them. My reaction when I read that trivia earlier was "Woah! I didn't know that!" and you know what it means. Finally, if we still can't manage to agree with each other, I definetely think we should let someone else take part in this discussion, maybe a higher authority who will know what's best, and maybe we could even make a poll. Edit: Fancy Fedora. Then check this page again 'till you see a hat made by Daimao called Fancy Fedora. Funny, Daimao is nowhere to be heard in the article.--Loadingue 12:45, 30 July 2011 (PDT)

You must be referring to this hat,[1] right? It's basically the Batter's Helm with some straws and a cans strapped on it. The Bonk Helm is much more visually simple. No plastic fastens on the middle of the straw, connecting it to the helmet or near the mouth. The can holders are a lot smaller, and there's an ear cover on the right side. We mention that one, we have to mention this one [2] too. This one [3] as well.

You said the article felt empty, but we shouldn't add anything with a slight resemblance to the trivia section for the sake of having something there, or you end up with an article looking like this. Or worse yet, this.

As for the Whoopee Cap, it's the same thing. Observations aren't trivia.

You're welcome to take this to a mod, if you strongly believe that they belong there. Mods have green names on the Recent changes log, you can hit them on their talk pages. Or try the IRC, there are a bunch of higher ranking editors in there right now. --SilverHammer 12:59, 30 July 2011 (PDT)

And for the record, the Fancy Fedora was the very first Spy hat, and was released with the Sniper vs. Spy update. That is a mod that changed the Fedora to include a pair of sunglasses. Daimao didn't create the Fancy Fedora. --SilverHammer 13:06, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
Oh, I'm glad you pointed my mistake out. I still see that some of the hats in this page were made official some time later. And once again, seriously, the two other drinking hats are far more different than the TF2 item. And I was afraid to say this, but as an average TF2 fan, I prefer the unofficial TF2 wiki's articles where I will indeed read interesting things I didn't know (at least with the Trivia section). I would indeed take this to a higher ranking editor, but as you know, I'm new on this wiki, so if you could re-direct me to someone... By the way, I often have problems with Trivia. On my previous wiki (Grand Theft Wiki), I caused an edit war because another guy thought Trivia's I added was useless... Until the founder of the wiki came and agreed with me. Just to let you know my background.--Loadingue 13:16, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
Well, I've stated my stance on this whole thing plenty of times now. I'll bring this to the attention of someone else, and we'll see what happens I guess. --SilverHammer 13:21, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
What SilverHammer said is right; this is an observation that the two hats are similar. However, the Bonk Helm was released as a Valve-made hat in the Classless Update, but I'm pretty sure Valve would have credited Royzo if they did modify his model a bit and release that, or even if they just got "inspiration" from it. Even if they didn't feel like putting some public credit, they would have at least have to contact Royzo about it to ask if he wants that hat to be in-game. So I suggest you ask either Valve or Royzo about the situation, and if there was indeed some deal between them, then yes, do include it. If it's just a coincidence, then no, it is not notable.
We do indeed have quite harsh rules for the Trivia sections of articles, for reasons that you've probably seen while browsing the old tf2wiki.net Wiki. Sure some of them are funny, but most of them are uninteresting, wrong, opinionated (trading values), etc. Hope this help :3 — Wind 13:55, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
Yes, thanks a lot, it helps. I'm going to try contacting Mr. Royzo (since he might be easier to reach than Robin Walker...) but you didn't say anything about "Should the origins of the hat in real-life be written?". Maybe a simple link to Wikipedia, I repeat, could be most useful. And this is the main thing I'd like to clarify.--Loadingue 15:36, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
sure you may, articles already do this (example: Fancy Fedora) :3 — Wind 13:17, 31 July 2011 (PDT)
So, may I undo SilverHammer's edits that went against that? Also, this is the answer I received from Mister Royzo via FacePunch: "It's just a coincidence I made a Bonk Drinking Hat before Valve made one. Same thing with the Otolaryngologist's Mirror, Daimao was the first to make one." Another mistake by me, those first days with this wiki were quite pleasant.--Loadingue 13:33, 31 July 2011 (PDT)
You want to undo what, exactly? "The Bonk Helm is a reference to similar beverage-carrying headwear that is stereotypically worn by sporting event spectators, usually referred to as a "beverage hat"? It's not a reference to beverage hats, it actually is a beverage hat. You can see what it is just by looking at it. And no matter how you write it, the fact that it looks like a community-made model still doesn't exactly constitute trivia in my opinion. --SilverHammer 13:57, 31 July 2011 (PDT)
Indeed, it's not a reference to those types of headwear, it is one of them. Thus this does not constitute trivia, but it does have a place in the description at the top of the article. Something like "It is a team-colored plastic helmet with two cans of [...] similar to beverage-carrying headgear worn by spectators at sporting events."~ — Wind 22:57, 31 July 2011 (PDT)
Well, excuse me, but I didn't know how that kind of hat was called. That's what I'm looking for. To have somewhere mentioned what type of hat it is. So may I? Oh, and I totally agree with you, Wind. That would look great.--Loadingue 11:02, 1 August 2011 (PDT)
I really don't think it's necessary. It's already described in the summary, it's a plastic hat with cans on it. There's no Wikipedia article on drinking hats to link off to, either. --SilverHammer 11:30, 1 August 2011 (PDT)
I'm beginning to think this is lasting a bit too long. As I said, not everyone knows such hats exist in real-life, and/or what is their purpose. Like not everyone can tell by looking at a Fancy Fedora for instance: "It's called a trilby hat." Now, if you don't mind, I'll undo that one edit, let's forget about Mister Royzo' hat.--Loadingue 06:19, 2 August 2011 (PDT)
I think that you're just arguing to argue with me at this point. The link in that trivia you blindly added back is dead, it doesn't go anywhere. It's a 404. Regardless of whether or not it works, the fact itself isn't trivia. I went ahead and added it to the summary, as I thought we agreed to. --SilverHammer 10:48, 2 August 2011 (PDT)
Ok, that seems quite correct. I would have wished something more explanatory, but this is good enough. Thanks, and sorry for wasting your and Wind's time.--Loadingue 04:04, 3 August 2011 (PDT)

Did you remove the humor message i put on the trivia rules?

You wouldn't wanna lose a valuable member, now would you?

MarbalTm4 08:54, 30 July 2011 (PDT)

I think you might want to give the style guide a good long read. Pages like that usually shouldn't be changed with your very first edit. In fact, I'm not 100% sure that regular users are allowed to edit that page. So please refrain from doing that in the future. You'll also notice that I removed that bit you added about the Gunslinger. It's just an observation, a coincidence, it isn't trivia.

When you're feeling better, please look at the page I mentioned, alright? I'm sorry about your dog. --SilverHammer 11:05, 30 July 2011 (PDT)

Thank you.

Thank you for you message highlighting my problem with the trivia section. I did read the Style Guide but I missed the individual section on trivia. Thanks for the friendly welcome!

Syndey Sleeper edit

When you said you didn't think it was a bug, did you mean you wnated it deleted?MEDUNN 13:16, 30 July 2011 (PDT)

I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean. --SilverHammer 13:21, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
In the post "*The butt of the rifle clips through the Darwin's Danger Shield when taunting, if the player is wearing one." I removed the "if the player is wearing one." part, saying it was redundant, as in it wouldn't clip through if you weren't wearing it. You readded it saying, 'I don't think it's a bug'. I wasn't clear on what you meant. Your phrase seemed to imply you wanted the whole thing removed, but your edit seemed to be restoring the phrase to it's entirity.MEDUNN 13:35, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
I've never really noticed any clipping. --SilverHammer 13:36, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
So you do want the whole thing removed?MEDUNN 13:36, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
Alright, I think I understand now. If there's clipping, there's clipping and it should be noted. I think what's on the article right now is fine. What do you think would be best? --SilverHammer 13:40, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
I'd be fine either way, I havn't noticed any clipping myself and if its wrong then it needs removing but I do feel that if it's kept that the phrase; "if the player is wearing one." should be removed, as it really seems to be redundant.MEDUNN 13:42, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
I'm not on a computer that can run TF2 at the moment, but you're welcome to test it and do what you see fit with the article. --SilverHammer 13:43, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
Just tested it and it's correct, the rifle butt goes right through the shield. I think the "if the player is wearing one." should still go though, it's like saying the equalizer does this much damage, but only if the player equips it.MEDUNN 13:51, 30 July 2011 (PDT)
Well, yeah. You're correct about that. --SilverHammer 13:52, 30 July 2011 (PDT)

Pip-boy

I think the quote is a little too long, and starts talking about stuff in Dead Money then about the pip-boy itself. Cheesepopcorn(stuff) 02:54, 4 August 2011 (PDT)

It's not so much about Dead Money as it's about the Pip-Boy itself. In fact, it only brings up the Sierra Madre for about seven or eight words! Eight out of forty-six ain't so bad. That last line, "it's just as much a crutch today as it was in the Old World." is about the Pip-Boy, and it parallels the Engineer and his build tool a little bit, too! There are a few articles with MUCH longer opening quotations, publicity blurbs and stuff. If you wanna see a couple guys who agree with me, lookie here. I'm showing off because I'm proud of it. :B Eh, it's really late. If you still feel strongly about it, you should put a note on the Pip-Boy articles discussion page, see how other editors feel. Hey there back at you c:

I don't even know if I'm doing the right thing to talk back to you, that's how new I am, but just to say, thanks for all the tips. Not to be argumentative but it is just only them weapons that do the reload bug. But if you think that's wrong to put, then fine.

I'm probably not going to post anymore edits anyway, considering I've only just noticed I'm useless at helping people virtually. But in case I do decide to soldier on, I'm going to want an awesome page like yours... How? How did you get the pictures and everything. I'm good with codes and whatever it takes to make cool stuff after I've been taught how.

It's really late at night here so I'm not going to type to much. But considering you've made over 1,500 edits and still haven't got a wiki cap, that kind of drops me down in thinking that I'm going to get any further with this, I really like being somebody that isn't the lowest of the low when it comes to the internet.

Thanks for advising me and thanks for reading this, I guess I shall expect a reply from you. :D

No Summary For A Bug Undo

Curious to know why you changed the gift wrap bug from line 110, as you didn't leave anything in the summary; http://wiki.teamfortress.com/w/index.php?title=Righteous_Bison&action=historysubmit&diff=659842&oldid=658704 Thenyproject 16:23, 6 August 2011 (PDT)

As it turns out, it's probably for the better than you undid it. While the end result remains the same, the actual cause of the bug, as I just found out, isn't related to that timeframe I had mentioned. It has to strictly do with the gift wrap, just like the bug with the UHHHH during Halloween, just in reverse. All is well and I added the proper bug to the list. Good day ;) Thenyproject 16:41, 6 August 2011 (PDT)
My apologies for not leaving an edit summary. I believe I misread that bug. "Well, untradable Spine-Chilling Skulls don't magically become tradable after using gift wrap on them..." Sorry for the incompetence, glad it worked out for the best. :B --SilverHammer 17:41, 6 August 2011 (PDT)

Problem

Hi, i have a problem.. i translated this page http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Mask_of_the_shaman/ro , but it seems the romanian language on the english original page isnt on list...i just created a new wiki page an pasted translated content on the /ro page... but painted variants doesnt show.. Help me please {unsigned|tuty}

I think if it were at Mask of the Shaman/ro instead of Mask of the shaman/ro, it would work. The S needs to be capitalized. coreycubed / talk 11:41, 9 August 2011 (PDT)

All fixed. The problem was that you named it "Mask of the shaman", when the English article is titled "Mask of the Shaman", with a capital S. If you don't copy the capitalization, then the painted variation thing won't be able to detect what images it should be getting. There are no painted images for "Mask of the shaman", but there are for "Mask of the Shaman", you know?

Keep up the translations, you're doing pretty well. Just don't forget to sign your posts, please! --SilverHammer 11:44, 9 August 2011 (PDT)

Re: Re: Bonk! Atomic Punch article

Ya, I forgot to sign it after writing so many questions. I have brought up some particular questions in articles' talk pages, but only around 1 out of 10 have responses.

1.) I have seen other articles have "also referred to" or "also known as" in them so I thought it was okay. Plus the article itself has the item referred to as "Bonk!" throughout the page, and so I thought I might as well mention that the item is also simply known as "Bonk!".

2.) Since it is primarily an unlockble item I guess that should stay up top.

3.) Done.

4.) Okay.

5.) Okay.

6.) Okay.

7.) Okay.

8.) Natasha sounds less awkward than the Natasha in the instance I think.

9.) Okay.

10.) What I meant was something like "The Kamikaze is an Action taunt." Kamikaze is capitalized of course, but wouldn't Action taunt be written as action taunt since it is just the name of a group of taunts like action taunt, kill taunt, etc.

11.) I guess I will give it a try, but I am not sure if I can fix it. :)

12.) Okay.

13.) Okay.

14.) Okay.

15.) If you go to the bottom of the article, under References, you will find "uberupdate scoutpack". I changed it to "Über Update Scout Pack page" – which to me looked neater.

I went back and signed my name. This time I will remember here also. Rolandius 05:54, 13 August 2011 (PDT)

Expansion = Bad?

Could you take a look at my last few edits? Why is adding the word "class" to a sentence so bad? Isn't expanding an article something good to do? I even had some of my edits reverted that fixed bad grammar. I am not sure if it is due to the "region" I am from, people just reverting an article wholesale, or I am missing something other people see when I edit. Rolandius 21:28, 14 August 2011 (PDT)

Capture zone

What was the matter with the article? A control point is only part of a capture zone. The article for control point doesn't mention or show this at all. It only mentions that the more players you have, the faster the taking it over part. Rolandius 22:45, 14 August 2011 (PDT)

Because control points and capture zones are the same thing. It's not an article, it's a redirect. --SilverHammer 22:47, 14 August 2011 (PDT)
Isn't a control point just that little circle thing in the image? The capture zone is a striped area around the control point, at least that is how I have seen them in-game. That is why multiple players can capture the control point because there is so much room for them to stand inside. Rolandius 22:57, 14 August 2011 (PDT)
They're the same thing. You never see an area marked capture zone without a control point inside of it. I assure you, they're the same. --SilverHammer 23:00, 14 August 2011 (PDT)

A few questions since you have more info than I:

1.) Before the turn of the century, Mann Co. was not a weapons giant?

2.) Why is it spelled "Ro-Bot" and not "ro-bot"?

3.) Why are all the articles' quotes Written In Capitals Like This?

4.) If a sentence ends with a '!', is that not something that could be said to have been proclaimed by a newspaper?

5.) Why can't I include the name of the newspaper, especially when other publication titles are mentioned such as the Gentle Manne’s Monthly and even its article "An Editorial Cartoon of Some Insighte"?

6.) Why is the line about Zepheniah Mann's will written as "Last Will and Testament"?

7.) Why does it say "Gold prospectors turns gaze..."? Is "prospectors" really just the last name of "Gold"?

8.) Some of those links go to blank pages...

Eyelander info

I made the edit to the Eyelander page under trivia because I'm not sure where else to put it. I swear everyone must be blind because what I wrote is NOT mentioned anywhere on the page. It mentions the extra overheal cap at the top but NOT what I mentioned about gaining 15 health back with each kill even with 4+ heads. Also, it's not "strategy" at all, I have no idea where you got that impression; it is a quirk of the weapon. I'm going to keep editing it until this fact is mentioned clearly somewhere, because the description on the page is confusing. Warrior 7 21:38, 18 August 2011 (PDT)

It's in the third paragraph. --SilverHammer 21:39, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
Sorry, nowhere in that paragraph does it mention explicitly that whenever a base health increase is gained the player also gains 15 health to their current health total, and that this extra health is awarded with each Eyelander kill even after the player has maxed out their base health bonus. The only part that could remotely be construed as that is the last sentence and it's flat out wrong. --Warrior 7 21:51, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
"If the Demoman is overhealed, any extra heads — more than 4 — will overheal by 15 points". That is exactly what you are saying, and it is there. --SilverHammer 21:53, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
No it isn't, I know what I'm saying and that isn't it. That sentence is factually incorrect. He does not NEED to be overhealed, and the health is granted in a similar fashion to the Powerjack. The statement is wrong, I have tested it. --Warrior 7 21:57, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
"any extra heads — more than 4 — will overheal by 15 points". This is what you are saying, isn't it? --SilverHammer 22:00, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
Basically what that sentence is saying that taking any head will heal you by 15. If it increases your health over your max, it will be overheal instead. The sentence might need a bit of rewording, that's all --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 22:00, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
Yes, it definitely needs rewording, because it's not saying what Firestorm said at all. --Warrior 7 22:06, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
Honestly, I think it's clear as crystal as it is. Also, would you mind using the Show preview button before posting? You're just editing this article 2-3 times at a time and it alerts me every time there's a change, it gets a little bothersome. --SilverHammer 22:08, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
I have reworded it slightly. It's a bit long and wordy, but it describes precisely what it does. --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 22:11, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
Thank you, that's pretty much exactly what I was going for! You missed a little bit about gaining 15 current health along with the max health bonus but other than that it's perfect! --Warrior 7 22:15, 18 August 2011 (PDT)
Feel free to edit it yourself, we're always watching the edits so don't worry about breaking too much! --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 22:16, 18 August 2011 (PDT)

Hat page problem

Hey silver, im having a bit of trouble with editing out this mess up on one of the sniper's hats (snipers snipin glass) over here, I'm at a complete loss on how to fix this and i was wondering if you could help me out with this one. Thanks in advance bud and congrats on the wiki cap by the way, looks to me like you certainly deserved it :) -dy1an 00:01, 19 August 2011 (PDT)

Heh, thanks. :3 It looks fine to me... Someone else probably took care of it while I was asleep, huh? --SilverHammer 11:38, 19 August 2011 (PDT)
Yeah someone took care of that a while back, something about updating templates and some other stuff i dont really know about dy1an 12:02, 19 August 2011 (PDT)

BTW on the machina page, that information isnt supposed to be under trivia i admit but its definitely worth noting in general info up top dont ya think?

"The weapon gets its name from the Latin phrase "deus ex machina" (literally meaning "god out of the machine"), which is a term used to describe a convenient plot device that abruptly appears out of nowhere and solves all of the problems the protagonist may be facing."? Origin stories are fine trivia, usually. --SilverHammer 12:03, 19 August 2011 (PDT)
Meant this, " Upon a successful double headshot where the bullet has penetrated and killed multiple players, a sound will play throughout the server to signal the occurance." There was some confusion going on about it on the talk page, so i really think it should be up at the top of the article.
Oh. If that's not noted already, it should probably be, yeah. --SilverHammer 12:10, 19 August 2011 (PDT)
It already does, in fact. "Achieving a penetration kill with the Machina produces a unique fanfare."--SilverHammer 12:12, 19 August 2011 (PDT)
Nah theyre different, noted here dy1an 12:22, 19 August 2011 (PDT)
If you kill two people with the same shot, it plays one fanfare, but if you kill two people and one is a headshot, it plays another? --SilverHammer 12:24, 19 August 2011 (PDT)
Basically, but for the sound that isn't the fanfare to play both have to be headshots. Sound can be heard at 20 seconds in on that video i left behind. dy1an 12:27, 19 August 2011 (PDT)

Congrats

HEY, HEY!!! Look who got themselves a Wiki Cap (Wookie Cap in the Star Wars realm). I was suprised you didn't have one when I started. You Totally Deserve It! Enjoy the praise you will get by a thousand other people. --ScoutKast 07:45, 21 August 2011 (PDT)

Trading

I have been making numerous edits to the trading article (during times when I should really be asleep), and after a LOT of cleanup, I removed the cleanup template that marked the article for general cleanup. Seeing as you are more experienced, I come to you for advice. Was it right of me to remove the template, or in my sleep-deprived judgment did I make a mistake? Hojung1996 22:50, 30 August 2011 (PDT)
