Competitive Articles
The Competitive articles are a work in progress, please don't connect the other pages to them until everything is complete. For the map articles, a small section of the main page may not be enough and will detract from the main article. Ask G-Mang about this, he's in charge of the competitive articles. Oh, yeah, almost forgot. Here. Something G-Mang wrote about this stuff.-The Neotank ( | Talk)

It's just 4 tildes (~~~~) at the end of your message. It's not hard. seb26 (talk) 21:19, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Russian translation of Team Fortress 2
Hi. You wrote in Russian translation discussion. I think the translation is ready, and authors have already added it to the server.--Empyrock 18:49, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

- 3 Days ago talked with Torsten (From Localisation Department) and he said "It's in the works". -- Nightbox (ts) 18:02, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Untranslated Alt-Language Pages
Don't make them. -Shine () 20:32, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
- He added the banner explaining it was in the process of being translated. He's helping someone else do it, he says. -- Pilk (talk) 20:34, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I saw the banner, but I didn't know there was anyone actually working on it. How about one at a time though. -Shine () 20:35, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Romanian achievements auto-translation
Language-specific filters have been implemented, now there's still this to do:
- Make the bot read the localization files (should they be hosted on the wiki, and the bot fetches them on every run? That way you can update the translation file by uploading it to the wiki and the bot takes care of the rest)
- Parse that
- Do the same for the english (reference) file
- Associate both by string key name
- Add resulting filters, applied on /ro pages only

Can you translate Health, Ammo, Metal, and Pumpkins as well? -Shine () 08:23, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- I saw your edits and i know you will ask. Yes i will after I finish with polycount. -- Nightbox (t s) 08:24, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. -Shine () 08:25, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- You know I just meant those words, right? -Shine () 09:31, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Seb told me to translate every template :D -- Nightbox (t s) 09:33, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, but all it needs is the Romanian versions of those four words. -Shine () 09:41, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't say that, anyway, I just said since you could add some Romanian strings to a few templates. seb26 [talk] 09:43, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- OK then, I'm doing something wrong or what ? -- Nightbox (t s) 09:45, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- You're doing fine. You missed "metal" though. -Shine () 11:25, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Counterstrike beta is open
The Counterstrike Source beta is open to all Counterstrike source members now. It USED to be a first come first serve thing, but that was changed. --Stevoisiak 20:19, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
Steam Translation
Hi nightbox, I'm curious about the translation server. I've been translating some sections of the tf2 wiki for /es/, and don't exactly agree with some translations (such as max's head). I found that they actually come from the translation server, but the translation server is a beta closed invite. I asked on the IRC channel, and they suggested I should talk to you about getting a beta invite. Could you provide me with an invite?

- Don't speak to Nightbox, speak to me. I'm a Moderator over there. You should email the Steam Translation staff, at translationserver@valvesoftware.com and request an invite for the spanish translation. Easy as. – Smashman (talk) 16:44, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
