You are man of few words. But alot of letters.--Tribestone 17:44, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

The word "The"

I was wondering why the quotes found on the top of articles are signed using the word "The" as in "The Soldier"? Not only that, the word "The" is bolded as in "The Soldier". Two things I thought were said to be "bad" form on the wiki. Rolandius 21:21, 23 September 2011 (PDT)

While it's probably wrong that both words are bolded, it really is too minor a thing, and is not worth wasting effort on changing it seb26 00:46, 24 September 2011 (PDT)
I figure both should be bolded. The class isn't named Soldier, but his title is "The Soldier". You know? --SilverHammer 14:53, 26 September 2011 (PDT)

Is there anybody...OUT there?

You're not one of those people who edits the Wiki purely for the sake of obtaining the Wiki Cap are you? Ever since you got it it seems like you have just pissed off and ditched us. --Scout Decal Black.png ScoutKast 01:09, 26 September 2011 (PDT)

Is that there a pink floyd reference? Anyways, their userpage states that they are a bit preoccupied with other things. - 6vKcd.pngnixshadow (t|c) 01:12, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
1) Yes, it is a Pink Floyd reference.
2) I did notice that he had "left the building"
3) I usually ask every Wiki Cap owner this
--Scout Decal Black.png ScoutKast 01:18, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
That's sort of a personal thing they can choose to do. Messaging everyone who has a wiki cap is a bit silly, and some might find it quite annoying and bothersome. May I please ask you not to do that anymore? - 6vKcd.pngnixshadow (t|c) 01:23, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
By "everyone" I ment 3 people, including you--Scout Decal Black.png ScoutKast 01:30, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
By my "everyone" I was talking about the prevention of continuation. (The possibility of actually messaging "everyone with a wiki cap") - 6vKcd.pngnixshadow (t|c) 01:32, 26 September 2011 (PDT)

Things have been tough lately. I try to oversee things, but I don't normally have access to a computer. You'll notice I haven't been on Steam at all either.
Truth is, I'm actually set to join the US Army soon. Gonna be shipping up to bootcamp. I'll be updating my page in a moment to reflect this. Will, hopfully, make time to play with this big upcoming update/Halloween! Sorry I haven't been around. I promise that I haven't up and ditched this wiki. --SilverHammer 14:53, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
Good luck, then. Shane Alvarado 15:02, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
Silverrr~! I've been wondering where you've been :( If you're going out to the army, then, all I can wish you is the best of luck. Stay safe, and you'll come back to a warm welcome from the Wiki, I'm sure of it :3
But until then, goodbye my friend. User Wingless Winged Signature.png 15:07, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
Holy Shit! I didn't realise!
SilverHammer, even though we didn't get much time to learn more about each other, I would like to thank you for introducing me to this world we call the TF2 Community and on behalf of all the editors here I would like to thank you for your massive contribution to the Wiki. I'm sorry for being a complete dick by accusing you for editing this thing for the Cap, but joining the army is BIG! That's a massive commitment, bigger than being a Wiki Editor! But I guess we can't just sit in front of a computer and edit for the rest of our lives. Eventually we too have to get a job or do something with our lives. Good Bye and Good Luck! --Scout Decal Black.png ScoutKast 20:25, 26 September 2011 (PDT)

Oh no, don't you go and think you're getting off the hook that easily. We haven't even started the elevator yet. On a more serious note, good luck with the Army! When you return, I'm sure you'll get a warm reception from all of us at the weekee. =) Xenak (Talk|Contribs) 20:40, 26 September 2011 (PDT)

Who was this targeted at?--Scout Decal Black.png ScoutKast 20:59, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
Don't worry, it was targeted at Silverhammer. He was supposed to build a orbital moon elevator with me using all the letters in his talk page and now he walks out by joining the Army. I'll be waiting, Silverhammer... I'll be waiting... Xenak (Talk|Contribs) 21:01, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
Orbital Moon Elevator? Intense!--Scout Decal Black.png ScoutKast 00:34, 27 September 2011 (PDT)

So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish!

It seems SilverHammer is shipping off to Bootcamp! Big Commitment, I have to admit, so to let this User know how much we have appreciated his stay at the Official TF Wiki, I have started a section where we can all leave a message and wish him the best of luck out in the frontlines! God Save the Queen Bless America!

Goodbye, I wish you the best of luck in World War 3 (spoiler). Kill a Zombie Nazi for me while you're out there. Sure, you can occasionally use Steam or edit the Wiki, but everyday won't be able to stop thinking about the fact you are putting yourself in a position where you could easily get sent to war and probably die. I'm probably exaggerating but you never know!

When I first started working here for the Wiki, the first person to introduce themselves and teach me the basics was SilverHammer. And since then, everytime I have a question or a problem, the first person I would try to contact was SilverHammer. Know I have other people to talk to but the point is SilverHammer was the first person I looked up to. I mean, all he did was say hello and inform me on things like the IRC Channel, help center and task list, and that was enough to make me feel noticed, to feel involved, to feel like I'm apart of it all, to feel needed. And I love that feeling! So join me as I raise my glass to SilverHammer, one of our most treasured Wiki Editors! Thank you for your massive contribution and Good Luck! It has been a pleasure having you here!--Scout Decal Black.png ScoutKast 01:30, 27 September 2011 (PDT)

Good luck in the army! Cthulhu1992 01:54, 27 September 2011 (PDT)

Again, good luck. Additionally, I have to thank you for first nominating me, although it totally took me by surprise. Yes, anyway, I hope you stay safe. Shane Alvarado 15:51, 27 September 2011 (PDT)

I appreciate all these kind words, but it really isn't necessary. --SilverHammer 20:56, 4 October 2011 (PDT)

Ach, don't go bursting my heartfelt bubble. Painted Texas Ten Gallon 694D3A.png Not Fyahweather C 21:27, 4 October 2011 (PDT)
Nonsense. You're awesome, there are a lot of people here who appreciate you, and we'll miss you. Shane Alvarado 22:39, 8 October 2011 (PDT)

Good luck to you SilverHammer, we all greatly appreciate your work here on the Wiki. Please don't wear an ACTUAL sparkling hat in the military, it will probably get you ridiculed and present quite a lovely target. --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 22:56, 8 October 2011 (PDT)

Here's some good advice. If you do end up in a war, go in dressed like Ronald McDonald. The enemy is expecting soldiers, not Ronald McDonald, so you won't be the first one shot! 404: User Not Found (talk) 23:52, 8 October 2011 (PDT)

I miss you too, friend.:3 --SilverHammer 01:42, 30 November 2011 (PST)

Trivia on True Meaning

I don't think the lines deleted are just simple observations. Most people don't bother to look at the textless pages and thus will miss the obscured brain slug and removed Solemn Vow. The lines about the weapons are there for those don't recognize the boot and knives. Tabs 07:03, 15 December 2011 (PST)

As an addendum, I'd like to add that Radigan Conagher has only appeared once before. He's not a random person in a picture, he's an established character. I have a sneaking suspition that if it was Saxton Hale in that image, that bit of trivia would still be there. While I know that it is a bit weak as trivia, it is at least an easter egg that should be mentioned, for the sake of users who haven't been around since/before the Engineer's Update. Weapon move request

You're probably going to want to put something on the talk page about your move request for Weapons. — Armisael (T · C) 18:59, 4 September 2012 (PDT)

Removal of Edits

I don't know why you went and changed all the quotes on the new pages. Those quotes that were already up there were fine. Discussions were had on the quotes that were changed prior to your edits. I found it incredibly disrespectful and rude to the other users. Would you care to explain why you decided to slap all of us in the face? --Skunk 18:39, 10 September 2012 (PDT)

Because most of them were ill-fitting. I only changed a handful, and they're better now. I didn't see any discussions. Don't take it personally. If something on an article can be better, it should be changed. --SilverHammer 20:21, 10 September 2012 (PDT)
Yeah, it's your opinion they're better. In some cases I agree, in others I disagree. If I felt that a quote posted on another page that I didn't come up with was terrible, I would at least give reasons as to why I felt that way (like the others when they changed the page quotes) and inform the person whose quote was being changed (like again the other editors did). You just deleted them, replaced them with your own "better" quotes and then sometimes didn't even say what your changes were or why. I just felt that was really disrespectful to myself and others who made those edits. I personally feel in the future you should show a little more courtesy to others using the site. I'm not going to say that what you did was wrong, it was the way you did it. In the future try a little more "Hey, thought this would be better fitting, let me know what you think?" as opposed to nothing at all. --Skunk 20:25, 11 September 2012 (PDT)
You're making too big a deal out of a factor of the article that really isn't that big of a deal. --SilverHammer 21:41, 11 September 2012 (PDT)
