The Desk Engineer is a community-created cosmetic item for the Engineer. It is a team-colored, short-sleeve dress shirt with a pocket that contains a pencil and an orange ink pen.
This item has four styles, named "Business Casual", "Desk Jockey", "Interviewee", and "First Day". The "Business Casual" and "Desk Jockey" styles add a dark team-colored necktie and attach an ID card to the shirt's pocket, while the "Interviewee" and "First Day" styles add a dark team-colored bow tie instead. Additionally, both "Desk Jockey" and "Interviewee" give the shirt a team-colored plaid pattern.
The Desk Engineer was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Update history
July 18, 2024 Patch 1 (Summer 2024 Update)
- The Desk Engineer was added to the game.
- Fixed clipping with the Gunslinger.
- Fixed clipping with Engineer's buckle.
- Fixed rotation in the paint preview.
- Fixed skin parts being tinted green from texture compression.
Notes
- Using the Operator's Overalls paint on this item provides absolutely no visual difference in-game on the RED team. This happens because the exact same color values are used for both the paint and the default "unpainted" color for the RED team.
Trivia
- This item's name is a play on the phrase "desk jockey", as well as a reference to YouTuber Doctor Lalve's reoccurring Tiny Desk Engineer character.[1]
- The front side of the ID card reads the following[2]:
DELL CONAGHER
S: MALE
CLEARANCE: 3
EXPIRES: 07-10-80
