Thrid Jump Deals Ten Damage

I'd assume it means the third jump deals ten damage to the player, but if that's true why are the words written in blue? A mistake on Valve's part? If not what then what does it mean? CidTheNinja 05:56, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

  • Unfortunately all we can do is speculate until the update comes out sir. Zombie James 07:35, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
    • I thought it meant that if you land on somebody after a triple jump that it's hurt them. But what Cid said is also possible. And the Equalizer's "Blocks healing" attribute is blue as well. So idk. ShadowGlove 15:10, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
      • In my head, the third jump lets off a pulse of atomic energy from Scout's body, which would cause the damage to enemies (and help identify to enemies that the Scout triple jumped). I just know it's not going to be that cool though. But anyway, that's all forumy nonsense, but I do believe the 10 damage is done to enemies, since the text is in blue. Balladofwindfishes 15:24, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
I can only imagine that the damage is done to the Scout, otherwise this bat seems to have very little downside. Triple-jumping scouts all over the place would be a bit... excessive --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 15:46, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
No, I just looked at the official page on the TF2 website. Says the jump "deals" ten damage. I think that it would say something like "10 Damage Taken Upon Triple Jump" if it hurt the player. ShadowGlove 17:54, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Valve definitely needs to fix this, as they did with the RIFT coupon code thingy being unclear. In my personal opinion, this is the most misleading attribute in the game(not that there are many other misleading ones). Perhaps this could go in the bugs section or trivia? probably not though since it doesnt exactly fit in either. Zorakirby 16:15, 8 July 2011 (PDT)

Force-A-Nature's knockback + Atomizer = Quadruple (4x) jump?

As above. Do you think it'll be possible to do 4x jump? Xeoxer 15:32, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

  • Makes sence. ShadowGlove 16:01, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
    • The bat says nothing about having to be active to allow triple jumping, so yes, quadruple jumping is possible. Alex484000 18:41, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
      • And besides, a quick switch could bypass that as well. ShadowGlove 20:27, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Wait what

"MEDIEVAL : NO"

unless there's a mistake here, this means the return of the civilian, right?

  • Must be an error. ALL melee weapons are allowed in Medieval. I'll make sure it's fixed. ShadowGlove
I fixed it, just forgot to post it here. Balladofwindfishes 16:06, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks. ShadowGlove 17:52, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

The Atomic Bat

Why are we not including the trivia about the model, again?

Don't spend enough time on wikies to know how to add this in.

There is a glitch when crafting the atomizer, amonger some other items in the uber update, that makes it to where if the recipe calls for refined metal, the list says reclaimed, and visa versa. Is it just for me or has anyone else noticed this?

Damage to buildings

Is the damage reduced upon hitting buildings or not? --Denmax 09:49, 27 June 2011 (PDT)

Need a new demonstration video.

We need a new demonstration video for the Atomizer.

We know. maggosh 21:44, 10 July 2011 (PDT)

We need a new video again. Because It doesn't compare damage with bat in destroy building. Hinaomi 03:32, 23 July 2011 (PDT)

Damage type

Since everything in the game that resists bullet damage also resists generic damage, how do we know that the Atomizer's self-damage is bullet as opposed to generic? Toomai Glittershine 20:43, 12 April 2015 (PDT)

I think that was added after someone upgraded the "Bullet Resistance" type on MVM and tried to do a triple jump. I remember reading somewhere about the MVM Bullet Resistance upgrade and the Atomizer somewhere here on the Wiki. Well, I tested on MVM. The resistance sound effect plays if I upgrade my Bullet Resistance upgrade and third jump with Atomizer, and I also lose less health. So yes, it's bullet damage type. User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 21:16, 12 April 2015 (PDT)
That's exactly the problem. "Bullet resistance" equates to "reduces the damage of both the bullet and generic damage types". We know this because stuff like Huntsman arrows are not bullet-type (or at least that's what it was last time I checked using map-based techniques), yet bullet resistance still works on them.
