New gun is unfair to tiny baby enemies.
The Heavy

The Brass Beast is a community-created primary weapon for the Heavy. It is an antique mini-gun made almost entirely of brass, bearing resemblance to the original 1861 Gatling gun made by Template:W with a number of modifications.

This weapon does more damage per second than the original Minigun and gives the Heavy damage resistance while revved up, at the cost of a lengthy spin up time and slower movement speed while it is both deployed and revved up. As a result, players are unable to move effectively whilst deployed, but can deal significant damage to oncoming enemies and tank more incoming damage. This makes the Brass Beast particularly strong in defensive situations where a Heavy can keep the weapon spinning without having to move.

Bugs

  • During deployment, the sound of the weapon will pause for a brief second before resuming at a louder volume.
  • Whilst firing, the bullets will seem to originate from the right of the weapon in client view.
  • In some instances, it can appear as if the gun is shooting in a different direction to where it actually is. This can be encountered when a Heavy is shooting below him whilst on a ledge.
