That was delicious!
The Heavy on quality chocolates

The Dalokohs Bar, pronounced ʻDah-lock-ussʻ (CA, US), or ʻDah-lock-ossʻ (AU, IN, GB, NZ etc.), is a community-created secondary weapon for the Heavy. It is a large, partially unwrapped, segmented chocolate bar with the Team Fortress logo imprinted on each piece. The white-and-team-colored wrapper proclaims "Dalokohs, it's delicious!"

The Dalokohs Bar can be consumed by pressing either the bound primary fire or taunt key. When eaten, it will temporary increase the maximum health by 50 for 30 seconds and gradually replenish an amount equal to 100 health over a four second duration and can overheal. While the Heavy is eating, he makes a loud munching sound and the player is forced into the third-person view. As eating the Dalokohs Bar is considered a taunt, it cannot be consumed in instances when taunts cannot be used, such as when underwater. Critical Dalokohs Bar have no additional benefits.

Players can use the alternate fire key to drop the Dalokohs Bar onto the floor. A dropped Dalokohs Bar appears as Halloween version of small Medkit that can be picked up by both allies and enemies. The Heavy cannot use his own dropped Dalokohs Bar to heal himself; picking up a dropped Dalokohs Bar will simply reset the cooldown timer. A dropped Dalokohs Bar from another Heavy, whether friend or foe, can only be used to restore health and will not reset the cooldown timer. It is not possible to have two Dalokohs Bars dropped on the floor at the same time, the oldest will simply disappear as soon as the second one is launched.

The recharge time for the Dalokohs Bar is approximately 10 seconds. The Heavy can instantly recharge the Dalokohs Bar by visiting a Resupply cabinet, picking up his own thrown Dalokohs Bar, or collecting any health pickup while at full health. The recharge timer begins as soon as the Dalokohs Bar is consumed or dropped. Should the Heavy be killed while holding the Dalokohs Bar, it will be dropped as a collectible that restores 50 health to all classes but the Scout, who is healed for 75 health.

Bugs

  • The Heavy's base HP may remain at 350 after consuming, allowing a self-overheal to 400 HP if eaten thereafter.
  • When a player consumes the Dalokohs Bar, it is possible that no bite marks will visibly appear in the first person view; other players will still see an eaten Chocolate.
  • On the first consumption, the 350 base health will stay for 30 seconds, but after multiple consumptions, it can wither out in 5-20 seconds.

Trivia

  • "Dalokohs" spelled backwards is "shokolad," the Russian word for chocolate.
  • When the item was initially submitted, it contained only a BLU team texture and a normal map. The TF2 Team removed the normal map and created a RED texture through a simple hue change. Since then however, the item has been updated to include new materials by the original author and thus this change is no longer present within the game files.
