The Guard Dog is a community-made class that was featured by Valve on the official blog.
Gameplay
- The Guard Dog was showcased with three weapons: Hanger, an SMG-like primary weapon which had at least 100 rounds, Helper, a device that allowed the Guard Dog to carry health and ammo pickups to teammates, and a melee weapon titled Hater, which would, upon use, cause the Guard Dog would bite an enemy. Hater featured the ability to leap a short distance, not unlike the Chargin' Targe or the Splendid Screen.
- The Guard Dog possesses two unique abilities. The first would allow players to "Sniff" the fallen weapon or ragdoll of a player, and be able to track them down after their respawn. This is represented by an arrow located in the upper-left hand of the player's HUD.
