Medic
vs Scoutnew tfc.png
Scout
(match-ups)
The Scout is the only class that can outmaneuever the Medic. However, he is weak and every weapon he has is manifested as a superior weapon for the Medic. Due to his low health pool and fast speed, attempt to poison him with your Medkit. This may end with him retreating to enemy lines and causing a mass infection among his teammates. Otherwise, use your Double-Barrel Shotgun. Remember that a good Scout will jump around constantly, so pick your shots carefully.

Medic
vs Snipernew tfc.png
Sniper
(match-ups)
The Sniper is a long range class, and thus meetings that are close range are rare (otherwise, it is impossible to fight back). However, up close he is still capable of defending himself. Consider getting close with a Concussion Jump, using your Concussion Grenades. Once close, use your Double-Barrel Shotgun or Super Nailgun to pummel him.

Also note, that the Sniper will attempt to target you and kill you with a quick headshot. If you really need to fight back, use your Shotgun. It's not particularly effective, but it will yield some results, at least.

Medic
vs Soldiernew tfc.png
Soldier
(match-ups)
The Soldier is one of the most powerful classes in TFC, matched only by the Demoman's Grenade spam and the Heavy Weapons Guy's deadly Assault Cannon. It is better to support teammates while they take on Soldiers, than to attack the Soldier yourself. However, if you are close to death and know that he is about to kill you, it may be more worthwhile using your Medkit to infect him , or using your Double-Barreled Shotgun to try to deal some close range damage.

Medic
vs Demomannew tfc.png
Demoman
(match-ups)
The Demoman can use his Pipebomb Launcher to deny areas. Combine that with the high amount of explosives he can spam, and he can be quite deadly. As with the Soldier, it is better to support your teammates in an offensive against the Demoman and his supporting teammates. However, if you can get close, use your Medkit to spread the disease or your Double-Barrel Shotgun for close range damage, as it is superior to his close range weapon, the Single-Barrel Shotgun. However, watch for the Single-Barrel's quick firing speed. Strafe to compensate (as you move faster than the Demoman). If he attempts to use grenades, try to circle him if you can. If you cannot hit him with the Double-Barrel Shotgun, use the Super Nailgun or Single-Barrel Shotgun.

Medic
vs Medicnew tfc.png
Medic
(match-ups)
When matched against an enemy Medic, use the Double-Barrel Shotgun due to it's higher damage output in quick succession, rather than the Super Nailgun. However, if you aren't very confident with landing hits with the Shotgun, use the Super Nailgun.
Medicnew tfc.png
Medic
vs Heavynew tfc.png
Heavy
(match-ups)
Even though a Medic's weapons are very rewarding and beneficial in close-range combat, you should never get close to the Heavy, due to his ridiculous close range damage. If you are caught by the Heavy Weapons Guy, attempt to spread a contagion or just run away. If a Medic is healing him, do not engage him unless you have a Heavy that you can support against him.

Medic
vs Pyronew tfc.png
Pyro
(match-ups)
As with the Heavy Weapons Guy, attacking a Pyro is not a particularly good idea. The Pyro is very effective at both short range, as well as long range, due to her Flamethrower, and her Incendiary Cannon. You will want to kill her with your Super Nailgun, if caught in a 1v1 match with a Pyro.

Medic
vs Spynew tfc.png
Spy
(match-ups)
Spies will want to take out a useful support class for a team, and thus they will try to kill you if spotted or able to. However, if you catch a Spy and a fight ensues, use your superior maneuverability to dodge his shots while hitting with yours. A useful Spy-Checking tool to use is the Medkit. A Spy will grunt and be poisoned while disguised, giving away his identity. Then, you can finish him off with your Shotguns or Super Nailgun.
Medicnew tfc.png
Medic
vs Engineernew tfc.png
Engineer
(match-ups)
The Engineer will almost never be without his Sentry Gun. However, if you can flank his Sentry Gun, use your Super Nailgun to destroy it as the Super Nailgun destroys all buildings quickly. If caught in a 1v1 match against an Engineer without his Sentry Gun, use Medkits or a Shotgun to inflict damage.

Medic
vs Civilian tfc.png
Civilian
(match-ups)
Medics are on the Escort team in the VIP mode. However, his escort is very weak and he will do his best to hide behind the rest of your team. If possible, spread a contagion throughout the enemy team. It should be very effective, as there are no Medics on the Assassin team.
