The Scout on getting a Robo Community Crate Key

The Pile of Robo Community Crate Key Gifts is an action item that, when used, gives a Robo Community Crate Key to up to 23 other people on the same server as the user. The Pile of Robo Community Crate Key Gifts can only be used once, and everyone on the server will be notified of your generosity.

If a server has a player limit greater than 24, a Robo Community Crate Key will be given to the first 23 players that connected to the server. Similarly, if the server has a player limit less than 24, it will only give out one Robo Community Crate Key to each player. The user of the tool will never receive a key from their own Pile of Robo Community Crate Key Gifts.

Trivia

  • The Pile of Robo Community Crate Keys Gifts was used for fraud by players who had used stolen credit cards to buy them. They filled a server with as many as possible and start gifting them to everyone in the server, then sell them as fast as possible. The credit card companies would charge back the money, Valve had to remove the keys from players' inventories, and the scammers got off free.
