Scream Fortress IX (or Scream Fortress 2017) was the event launched with the October 26, 2017 Patch. It introduced 17 Halloween contracts that are free for all players and can be accessed via the ConTracker. In addition to this, all maps from the previous Scream Fortress events are back.

This Scream Fortress event has 17 contracts, which are different from the two latest Scream Fortress events in that these new contracts were added to the ConTracker in a new section called "Halloween". There are 18 new contracts, 3 of them dedicated to defeating bosses, 7 to the community maps of previous years, and 6 for the official Valve-made maps. Additionally, there is a "Start" contract, which can be completed on any map within Casual Mode.
