Overview of Sludgepit.

Sludgepit is a single-stage Payload map set in Oregon, USA. BLU attempts to blow up RED's profitable chemical waste facility from their own nearby coal mine.

Sludgepit takes place in various facilities that BLU has to take over. Some of these facilities are a logging area, a storage shed and a chemical waste warehouse. Inside RED's base are also various spytech rooms and computers, an active rocket can also be seen hidden behind a door. Around the warehouse various chemical waste spills can also be seen coming out of leaking barrels. A helipad can also be seen next to point C. Far out in the skybox a factory with a large cooling tower can be seen (in earlier versions this factory was smaller).

The map features a custom Payload cart called the Tiny Boy, based off of the real life Little Boy atom bomb. A Halloween version of this map was added in Scream Fortress 2022.

Locations

Point A

All locations are described from the vantage point of the BLU team as they leave their spawn.

Point A

Point B
  • Attackers' spawn: BLU's spawn is a small building next to the cliff. It has 4 exits, 3 leading directly to the cart and 1 that leads up onto the cliffs.
  • Cliffs: The cliffs takes up the majority of the area around Point A, BLU can use the cliffs to their advantage to attack the point from above. Underneath the cliffs are a few tunnels in which RED can defend from.
  • Mining Buildings: The point is between 2 buildings. The right building can be entered from a small bridge from the cliffs. The other building has a small room in it in which RED can defend from.

Point B

Point C
  • Scaffolding: On the right side there are some scaffolding and crates that the Attacker's can use to flank into Point B.
  • Storage Barn: The point is in a 2-story barn which can be entered from many entrances. A shutter door chokepoint at the front, The windows next to the scaffolding and the back entrance next to the barn for flankers.

Point C

Spytech Room
  • Valley: The path leading up too Point C is a small valley that cuts through some buildings and cliffs. The cliffs on the left lead up to a balcony that looks over the helipad area. On the other side of the valley is a small ditch that leads to the hill up to Point C.
  • Warehouse: The point is in a rather chokepoint heavy area inside the warehouse. There is a flank that leads from under the balcony building to the left side of the warehouse behind the point. There is another entrance from the helipad that leads to a set of stairs.

Point D

  • Spytech Room: Above the warehouse is a spytech themed room which the attackers can use to get on either the upper balcony above Point D or the set of stairways next to Point C.
  • Greenhouse: On the right side of point D is a greenhouse building with some pickups in it. Soldiers Demo's and Engineers can get up there to either attack or defend from. Note: Engineers can NOT build on the small side shed, only on the actual glass roof.
  • Waterfall: Next to the greenhouse are a few small cliffs and a waterfall, Beneath this waterfall is a deathpit which Pyro's can use to their advantage.
  • Point D: Above the point are a set of balconies, one that leads from the red spawn and another to the side that acts as a flank for BLU. Behind the point is a small ditch which houses another extra spawnroom for RED. Note: RED doesn't spawn here, RED can get there using the vent dropdown from the upstair spawn.
