I'm not even winded!
The Scout after generating hype

The Soda Popper is a community-created primary weapon for the Scout. It is a broken Force-A-Nature repaired with several black bands and outfitted with slit barrels. A can of Crit-a-Cola is fitted underneath.

Like the Force-A-Nature, the Soda Popper is a two-shot Scattergun that reloads rapidly. It shares the pellet count and damage of the Scattergun, but reloads 25% faster and has a 50% faster firing speed, giving it a faster reload than the Force-A-Nature. The Soda Popper's reload will replace both shells even when one shell is still available in the ammunition reserve, and the second shot is wasted.

Equipping the Soda Popper places a "hype" meter on the HUD, which fills whilst the player is moving with the weapon active. It takes approximately 5200 Hammer units of distance traveled, either through running or jumping, to fill up the hype meter (The Scout has a base movement speed of approximately 400 Hammer Units a second, so filling up the meter will take about 13 seconds of constant movement). The hype meter can also fill up due to exterior knockback, such as being sent flying by a rocket.

When the hype meter is full, pressing Alt-Fire (default key: MOUSE2) activates Hype mode for 10 seconds, giving the Scout the ability to jump up to five times in mid-air (for a total of six jumps) active weapon. When Hype mode is initiated, the player will hear the same noise as being hit with the Disciplinary Action, and the Scout's active weapon will glow bright purple, in addition to the Scout's air jump particles turning purple. The Atomizer has no effect during Hype mode; it will not grant an additional jump or damage the user.
