F2P not just weapon drops

While playing F2P, I got a the description changer tag and the name changer tag from item drops. So is it possible to actually get none weapons while in F2P account?(meaning you can also get the high five taunt through drop?) I'm pretty sure F2Pers can get anything from the drop system. Balladofwindfishes 06:17, 22 November 2011 (PST)

But I thought F2P accounts can't get cosmetic items Kaine852 20:18, 9 December 2011 (PST)

Cafe accounts

I think some reference should be made for Cafe accounts, which has:

  • No access to trading or in-game purchases
  • No access to hat or weapon drops
  • Start with all achievement weapons unlocked

Someone should ask Robin if they can confirm this.--WilliamFTW 01:23, 11 March 2012 (PST)

Better Drops

I've seen F2Ps having a higher chance of getting a rare stuff like the high-five and the meet the medic taunt. I never seen a premium player get any taunt from drops yet. Is this true? I'd say this is a bit unfair --Adliikhwan 16:43, 11 May 2012 (PDT)

Anecdotal, but I'm premium and I've found a Schadenfreude. F2P players do not get hats, so it might be that their "rare item" drops are rolled as tools, not hats, so it just seems they get more tools. Balladofwindfishes 17:13, 11 May 2012 (PDT)

say if you punched in the product key because you bought one AFTER installing the free version, would you still upgrade and get the hat or not? The preceding unsigned comment was added by ScoutKast (talk) • (contribs)

Yes, because you purchased a copy of TF2, By the way, use 4 tildes next time you post a post. DiamondCubeMiner (talk) 04:59, 26 May 2015 (PDT)
