Open the pod bay doors

Please locate and upload the textures for the "HAL9000" cameras.

Are these cameras unique to Bread Space? I don't remember seeing them before. The active reflection is a good touch!

Luno reminds us that these textures originated in Asteroid. They showed me the textures; screenshots are much better in this case.

Gallery Section

I suggest, having only in the image gallery any miscellaneous images relevant to the map (like easter egss), any other images related to the map, such as image posters, blackboard drawings, etc. can be put in a separate image category, similar to Jeff's, this way we can keep the article "clean" from unecesary information.

What do you guys think? Or just leave it as it is ? Yossef | Talk | Contributions 19:37, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

That's the point of the recent uploads, they are images relevant to if not exclusively associated with the map. The storyline is told through many of those, so they belong nowhere else. IIUC, even the RED/BLU logos are unique (correct me if I am wrong). The Hatman graffiti belongs no other place; yes, players can find it, but clear illustration by use of the game files is appropriate. They could be screenshots of the signs in the map, but policy prefers uploads from the game files. I am about to make a pass on the captions and organization.

Unless the pictures are notable (such as the Portal reference for the Hatmann stuff), not every single poster should be listed on the page, it's making the page unnecessarily large. I vote to remove them from this page and move them somewhere else. If you wanna keep them on this page, I'd suggest making a separate template for it but for consistency it would have to be done on every map page which is a lot of work. I'd rather keep them on List of posters instead.

@Yossef : this edit help?
The images are tied into the lead; or more to the point, the outlandish claims of the lead are now substantiated with links to the relevant gallery. The storyline images are very difficult to read in the game, and IMO the uploaded images should be directly in the page of the storyline they are telling. I want to improve the Trivia with links to the gallery anchors, since much of the Trivia relies on verbal descriptions of these textures that are hard to find, read, or see in the game.
@Yossef & @GrampaSwood :
1) Two of the new galleries now topically associate the particular storyline images. These were done as texture uploads rather than the usual screenshot because (a) image quality is horrible in these screenshots and (b) wiki policy is to use uploaded textures when available.
2) The Portal reference of the Hatman stuff is trivial, rather the real importance of the the Hatman stuff is that it supports the storyline with the tie-ins to Expiration Date and the Bread ARG. The fact that the tie-in is entirely restricted to the map (that is, not canon) strengthens their placement in Bread Space over List of signs. Another point is to give the person wanting to read about the map a good, clear, and conventient look at the textures, not obscured screenshots, not textual directions to their locations, not a Google search to find where the images are hidding in the wiki.
3) Concider the example of the galleries of 2Fort Invasion. They give a propper place to the unique posters of the map. (a) How would it improve either 2Fort Invasion or List of posters to move all of those posters to List of posters? (c) How is a template needed in 2Fort Invasion? I know one of the 2Fort Invasion posters recently snuck into list of poster, does it look like it is in the right place?
4) I personally dislike loading up either List of posters or List of companies with one-off signs that appear on and have sigificant meaning to only one map. If it has notability only with one map, I feel it should be worked in to that one map's page; not lost in a totally unrelated list.
5) I could give on the first gallery (company signs). That said, there are so many RED and BLU logos, List of companies really isn't the place for them, and they are one-offs AFAICT. They could go to the RED/BLU galleries. Normally, one of the Tyco logos could go into the List of companies, as there is a precedent for one-offs there. But, optimally, the Tycho poster would be worked into the margin somewhere on the page as a relevant beautification.
6) I'm not sure what sort of template you are thinking of and why it would be needed on any map not having such thematic textures. Did/does 2Fort Invasion need a template?
7) The List of posters' job is to include the mostly unnotable signs. IMO, it is a poor place to load up with 10 storyline signs from one map (worse yet, if someone insists that they be alphabetized).
8) The bottom gallery is more like the poster gallery of 2Fort Invasion; but I suspect that two of these are developer signatures.
Enough for now.

I would add that we are overlooking the obvious here. We would not even be having this conversation if it weren't for Luno and Andrew360 stepping up to this long-neglected TF2wiki function!
GJ!
Until somebody like them uploads all of the interesting stuff and all of the (presumably) uninteresting stuff, we can't have any discussion as to the best place to put these things. There were interesting things that I wasn't even aware of that I didn't see until it until they Uploaded the textures.

I don't mind the gallery as it is now, but I agree with GrampaSwood, I don't think that flooding the article with images is necessary since it'll make the article large. For consistency, we can make it like the 2Fort Invasion, few poster here and there for demonstration as well as an anchor for the trivia, like the Portal and Sci-fi references. Anything further than that, like the Bread ARG or lore of the map, it can be on a separate article, with all the posters and references.
Moreover, I'd suggest on replacing this screenshot Bread Space - Portal.png with the actual file textures ---> Hatman art 01a.png, instead of having them separately.
Last but not least, shout out for Luno and Andrew360 for the quality images!

"flooding the article with maps" You meant "with images"?
Having more images in the map's category than is used in any page is a good thing. Having an abundance of images promote potential usefulness, I found notability in images that weren't comprehended from hours of spectating the map. Only one Tycho Corp is probably best for one page, but having all four images in the category supports picking the best one for any particular use.
"Bread ARG or lore of the map, it can be on a separate article," No, really, it shouldn't. The Bread ARG is Canon, in that it is a promotion Valve produced and published. It is speculation that the Bread Space story has anything to do with the Valve arc. The Bread Space story is interesting and it is useful [first sentence] to make the story more accessible to the page's reader, but we cross a line to say that Storyline now includes that the Administrator is under control of Alien Bread (have to wait for TF Comic #7, maybe).
IMO, the "lore of the map" belongs only on the page for the map. Lore of the game belongs in the articles of the lore of the game, although where a map reveals lore of the game, that should be mentioned on the map's page.
Until we have more from Valve that the Alien Bread of Bread Space is any expansion of the real Valve Bread Storyline, and not just a wonderful dementia of a single Community map, there should be nothing in Bread about Bread Space other than a "See also", IMO.
"... we can make it like the 2Fort Invasion, few poster here and there for demonstration." 2Fort Invasion was the basis. 2Fort Invasion has 14 thematic images, apparently every single one in that map. There are redundant images in the Bread Space thematic images category, only 13 are still in the page's Galleries, excluding the corporate images that I think could be dealt with elsewhere, but including the last three posters, which aren't hurting anything (I wonder if the artists know something about the Apollo program that I don't), compared with 2Fort Invasion.
Maps that have a lot in them have a lot of article to cover their content. Maps that have little in them get tiny baby pages, IMO.

Yeah, I meant "images" (I fixed it).
Regarding the lore of the map, I see what you mean, to keep it inside the article, then perhaps adding a "Map plot" or "Community map lore" section would make the article to look nice imo, and within that section, we can add any images related to the hidden lore, instead of having them in the Gallery section. Yossef | Talk | Contributions 13:23, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
I don't really see a reason for a community map lore page or anything like that. The gallery is at the end of a page, if all the posters and images from the map were in the gallery, then it would give the reader an idea of the map story without having to go to a separate page. If the images and posters in the gallery are neatly organized and explained, I see no reason why they can't be there.

I'm not saying, "It's Braliens."

In 1922, his mind controlled by Bread Aliens, Bilious_Hale, closed the family coal mine, to convert the company to manufacturing hats to hide the mind controlling Bread Aliens under hats.

You laugh, but you know it is true!
