What about Medic's Robes etc. ?

Apart from equipment there are other things in the game that use jigglebones like the tail of the Medic's Robe or the Scout's dogtags. Should they be added too? Verbatim 15:30, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

IMO, Medic's robe is OK, Scout's dogtags I don't really know... anyway I'd like to see specified why the Soldier's helmet isn't technically jiggleboned: it's tied to the model's head and it moves with the character. could be interesting for the article telling why that's not a jiggleboned item.--Kid Of The Century 10:38, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
The Soldier's helmet has fixed animations. If you play around in the model viewer, you'll notice that jiggle boned items move around with the camera. That's not the case with the helmet. Same thing goes for the Scout's dogtags. -- Vi3trice (talk) 10:55, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Removal or modification of certain items

Pictogram comment.png Comment Alien Swarm Parasite: The legs aren't jiggleboned. The "back", head, or whatever you can call it, does have jigglebones. I'm calling it the "back" until we find someone that's specialized in alien anatomy.

Pictogram comment.png Comment Medic's coat and Scout's dogtags: These actually have fixed animations, like the Soldier's helmet. I have to say, the coat is nicely animated, though.

Pictogram comment.png CommentActually I think it's The Alien Swarms Tali because i see it move back and forth and when you die the tail is still moving. THE3STOOGES 22:40, 30 March 2011 (UTC)

Jigglebones in trivia

Is there a consensus yet about whether a hat being jiggleboned is valid trivia or not? I see it being removed from some hat articles while at the same time being added to others. Moussekateer 18:35, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

With the existence of this page, I would say that listing it as trivia would be redundant. -- Alex2539 -- 20:03, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps we can in the main paragraphs of the relevent articles we could mention the Jigglebone? Like HAT is a Jiggleboned headgear... Otherwise this would be a hard page to find.--Kurathedog 18:13, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

That, and put Jigglebones in the Related links. Jeff AndonutsJEFF used Bottle Rocket! 18:15, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

List complete?

Is there anything else that needs to go on this list? --Vaught 08:05, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

I think so, unless there is some obscure prop that no one has noticed is jiggleboned. -- Alex2539 - (talk | contribs) -- 08:18, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

Valve sometimes adds items with jigglebones or adds the effect on some items so the list can never be complete Godzillaboy98 (talk) 15:52, 31 March 2014 (PDT)

Golden wrench

Technically the golden statues are jiggleboned somehow read the Golden Wrench page and it'll say that the statues are jiggleboned, also for the soldier we need to add battalions backup and concheror. THE3STOOGES 04:25, 3 April 2011 (UTC)

No. It says the jigglebones freeze in place when you kill someone with the golden wrench.  – Awesome.png Ohyeahcrucz[T][C] 04:29, 3 April 2011 (UTC)

Column "Location of jigglebones"

As none of these are complete sentences, full stops/periods aren't needed here, and I reckon it'd look better without. Anyone object to this?

Sight for Sore Eyes and Engineer Eyeball

Can someone check if it is the pupil or the entire eyeball that is jiggleboned?SilverForce 17:14, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

On the SFSE, it's only the pupil. I don't know about Engi's eye though. I'll take a look at the game files. – Epic Eric (T | C) 17:16, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I can confirm that on the Googly Gazer, it's the entire eyeball that is jiggleboned, not only the pupil. – Epic Eric (T | C) 17:26, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
On another note: The Sight for Sore Eyes' model consists ONLY of the pupils. So it makes sense only they are jiggleboned.  –  Duel RED.png Epic Eric Duel BLU.png (T | C) 17:33, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Jigglebone Bug on item pages

Right now about half of the items with jigglebones have some variant of "the jigglebones don't work" listed as bugs. The other half have nothing. I was originally going to go and remove all of the vibrating bone bug from all the item pages, but I thought I'd start a discussion instead. So what should we do? List the bug on every single item with jigglebones, or not list it on any page with jigglebones? Balladofwindfishes 21:51, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

I thought, list the bug on each item's page where it is appliccable. Some items work fine, after all, and some have different bugs than others (the napper's respite, for example, tends to get wtftwisted in the same way as the holy mackerel). It should be noted on the jiggle bones page that bugs exist, though. I'm gonna be so bold as to do that now since this thread is months old. Thingy Person 11:32, 13 November 2011 (PST)

Jarate?

I'm fairly sure Jarate doesn't actually have jigglebones. The liquid sloshes around during the draw animation, but I'm fairly sure this is just a preset animation that is not affect by the Sniper's movement. The same goes for its idle animation; It sloshes gently regardless of the Sniper's movements. Compare this to Mad Milk, which sloshes around realistically with the Scout's movements. Unless Jarate soemhow has jigglebones in third person but not first person, I'd say it needs to be removed from the list. Bralef 20:07, 2 January 2012 (PST)

This sounds correct to me. Removing Jarate unless proof can be provided to the contrary --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 15:28, 3 January 2012 (PST)

Festive Sandvich?

I recently traded for a festive sandvich and i noticed a jiggbone on it. Could a admin/mod investigate this? Godzillaboy98 (talk) 16:21, 18 March 2014 (PDT)

Festive weapons - The decorations, noted already, ended story. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 17:53, 18 March 2014 (PDT)

Thank you, I got confused becuase the festive blackbox was on the list and so i thought that only certain festives had jigglebones. Godzillaboy98 (talk) 22:04, 21 March 2014 (PDT)

Australium Black Box? Defragmenting Hard Hat?

So the regular Black Box and Festive Black Box are both listed for jiggle bones, does that carry over for the Australium Black Box as well? Also, I have no way of telling at the moment but does the Engineer's Defragmenting Hard Hat 17% have jiggle bones for the... defragmenting part? SecretlyAKraut (talk) 18:09, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

Yes, Australium Black Box is the same model with a different texture - meaning that it does have Jiggle bones. Defragmenting Hard Hat also has Jigglebones. Goodjob (talk) 18:12, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

Bootie Time?

Someone left a redirect on Bootie Time page, but there's no category added, and there's no information about it on Jiggle bones. Check if possible. User Denied signature.jpg Denied (Talk) 19:58, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

Outdated since...

Does anyone have an idea of the earliest year where these jiggle bones items are updated fully to? My guess is around 2016, based on the edit history of this article. Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 22:30, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Missing ones that I believe have jiggle bones

(Here are some I found where I pretty sure have jiggle bones, but I don’t know how to edit the list thing:

  • Round-A-Bout : the middle part
  • Helm Helm : the little demo figure
  • SandMann's Brush : the end and puffball
  • Killing Tree : the ornaments hanging
  • Shoestring Santa : the tag and the puffball(I think)
  • Jolly Jingler : the hole top half The Fiend (talk) 19:42, 4 May 2021 (UTC) )
See Template talk:Jiggle bones#Necessary?, I think this template requires too much upkeep when there's already an existing category with identical functions. Also, again, please add topics at the bottom of the page for convenience, adding them somewhere randomly in the middle of a discussion page makes it harder to find every time.
