Limited Late Summer Crate #86

Description of the Limited Late Summer Crate #86 actually reads: "This crate contains one of the following Limited items: [insert item names] or an Exceedingly Rare Special Item or an Unusual Thirst Blood."
Note: The Unusual Thirst Bloods have increased unbox chance and can be unboxed in all 3 generations of normal Unusual effects (no Halloween or Robo-Crate effects, obviously). --Knusperfrosch (talk) 15:03, 28 September 2014 (PDT)

The description is correct, I pulled it directly from the schema. The stuff about items and unusuals are separate settings rather than the actual description. --Omolong (talk) 15:13, 28 September 2014 (PDT)
That doesn't change the fact that when you mouse-over a Late Summer Crate in your backpack, or look at it's description in the Steam Market, this is exactly what it says: "an Exceedingly Rare Special Item or an Unusual Thirst Blood". So what is that Rare Special Item, if it's not the same as the Scout unusual? Knusperfrosch (talk) 16:57, 3 October 2014 (PDT)
It's a regular unusual. Works the same as any other crate that you can get unusuals from. --Omolong (talk) 16:59, 3 October 2014 (PDT)

Widowmaker Strangifier

Does the Widowmaker Strangifier really have a unbox rate of 9.90%? There are usually less than 10 at the Steam Community Market, while there's over 70 of the other crate #85 strangifiers at any given time. I suppose it's possible that people are hoarding them, but it does seem like it has a lower unbox rate than the other items in crate #85. Valve giving it a lower unbox rate does make sense since the Strange Widowmaker was in the rare Salvaged Crate #40. Rolen47 (talk) 16:53, 14 October 2014 (PDT)

Festive items.

We need the tables for the Smissmas 2014, I would do them myself buy, 1. I dont know how to make a table and 2. Ive never seen the new cosmetics because I refuse to pay £1.59 for a key. ScottishDrunkard (talk) 10:45, 23 December 2014 (PST)

Unbox Rate

To add to this note, is there any reason why we bother with unbox rates when they are clearly wrong? In the new crate 90, obviously, the AWPer Hand rate is much less than everything else (at least from what I've seen) yet it's given the same frequency as everything else in the crate. If truly everything in a specific crate has an equal chance of appearing, can't it just be notified on the bottom line under the unusual chance note? It honestly just looks stupid when comparing certain cosmetic crates (like the 9 cosmetics in the late summer crate where its noted that each rate is listed and equal to the recent nice 2014 crate where there was numerous items and no mention of a rate is even mentioned). "Drop rate is an estimate only." Yah, is very wrong, but Valve don't say the real drop rate. -By your friend (or not) File:User Tark sig.jpgFile:User Tark sig2.jpgFile:User Tark sig3.jpgFile:User Tark sig4.jpg 07:34, 22 February 2015 (PST)
That's precisely my point though- if Valve never stated any rate, why are we adding one that is obviously wrong? BASEBALLFURIES (talk) 02:30, 25 February 2015 (PST)

At the moment there are only 483 Strange AWPers in public backpacks logged by stats.tf while there are a whopping 10,415 Strange Wingers in public backpacks logged by stats.tf. The wiki listing rare stranges as having the same unbox rate as common stranges is very deceiving and isn't even an estimate. No one even tried to estimate the percentage before they created the table. Changing the percentage of rare stranges to 1% will at least make people realize that they are rare, so I'm going to do that. If someone wants to put in a more accurate estimate, feel free.
