Add to the "Moby Francke" Category?

I think it certainly fits in that category. I'd add it myself, but it seems to be protected for some reason. Kestrelguy (talk) 01:37, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Merge (Copied from now deleted Moby Francke Conference talk page)

1) Rather than delete this should be tagged Merge

1) a) for all of the same reason I am guessing that you have for delete, and

1) b) I won't watch videos on lunch hike, but at the very least it should be cited as notibility for Francke.

1) c) depending on the video content it could /possibly/ identify which works are Francke's and may other missing attributions.

1) d) depending on the video content it could count to TF works (not so likely as the video is not in the game files?)

1) e) I doubt that the video image need be part of the merge, just a link in the citation.

Pictogram plus.png Support It's related to Moby Francke, perfect fit for his own page rather than its own page.

So, I watched the video, lots of interesting information on the art concept stages of TF2.
  • 7:54 Francke made all of the textures for the 9 class characters.
  • 9:40 First mention I have seen of Jack Delano's influence on TF2. Delano is the source of the art style I love most of TF2. THIS is has been my smartphone wallpaper for several years. The basis of that images is THIS Delano image!
  • 11:00 Jeff Ballinger was the environment artist for the Team Fortress 2.
  • 11:45 "go back to the original James Bond" I knew the DATA LINK models were from Dr. No, but have had trouble finding the scene. Here is the citation!
  • 12:50 The surroundings of 2fort are definitely Ballinger's work. The cutout cows of 2fort are definitely Ballinger's concept.
  • 12:55 Environment textures for the launch maps are Jeff Ballinger's work.

Hey guys, I saw here that the article itself was useful to you, but I realized such a thing that I screwed up a little. In short, this conference was not the one that was held in 2012, everything is completely different here. The conference took place on April 11, 2018 in Breda, the Netherlands, all I had to do was google the hashtag #playgroundsblend that was on the left screen. But this does not mean that I confused the dates, on February 2, 2012 there was also a conference, this is confirmed by the link that I left at the bottom of the page. Unlike the 2018 conference, we only have photos from that discussion in the incentive. MrPrisen (talk) 19:02, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Pictogram plus.png Support Merge as citation onlyThe video is useful to the page Moby Francke, but the Moby Francke Conference page is in question. Essentially, the proposed Merge in this case means, at best, replacement of the Moby Francke Conference content with at redirect to Moby Francke, and the only "appearance" of the video on the Moby Francke page is to link it in the citation. Generally, non-Valve phone videos do not get pages on this wiki. Even though the video is useful, it is not most useful, the only useful aspect is as a citation. And this discussion will be moved to Talk:Moby Francke
When I say lots of information, I mean lots of use of this presentation as a citation on other pages, not as a page for itself.
Thank you for the corrections to the identity of the conference; that will greatly improve the citation, which I have already updated.
