Rumor

Is this really the place for rumors? --Jordan 12:53, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

No. You can remove rumors from the articles. --Picard lm(de) 13:11, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Question, has anyone verified if you drop the pile on a server with 1 other person, do they get all 23 gifts?--The Blueberry Villain 21:53, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
One person will only get 1 gift unless there are more than 23 other players in the server in which case some won't get a single one. So if you open a Pile of Gifts with only one other person on the server only on present will drop and you'll have wasted your money.  – Smashman (talk) 22:00, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

Items

It is unknown if hats can be obtained through gifts. Here is a sample item received from a gift:

Yes, you can get hats through gifts. --Picard lm(de) 13:08, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Anyone got an image of a gifted hat? I'm still not sure...  – Smashman (talk) 22:03, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Lagg gifted A Pile o' Gifts after our last Highlander match. Tturbo got a hat from them. --Picard lm(de) 21:51, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Yes, you can get hats. The Hampshire Heavies servers recently had an event where they gave out gifts to celebrate TF2's birthday. Link to the gifts players received: http://www.thehh.co.uk/gifteditemlog.php -- ShunyValdez 03:56, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Should the Secret Saxton and the Pile o' Gifts be included in the "Tools" template? They're not tradable items, whereas the Dueling Mini-game were made tradable. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by NillKnows (talk) • (contribs)

{{MannConomyNav}}

Should the Mann-Conomy nav be put in this article? - LingoSalad 22:04, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

It should indeed; I've added it. I see you added it to Secret Saxton, well done. –lhavelund User Lhavelund Profile.png · User Lhavelund Talk.png · User Lhavelund Contribs.png 22:08, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Free to Be Gifted

Do F2P players get hats from a Pile o' Gifts? Tilde tilde tilde tilde. Amidoinitrite? Sparkpin out. 16:16, 24 July 2011 (PDT)

I would assume not. Gift items effectively trigger a free drop. I don't think the drop rules change. Also, you need more tildes. --SilverHammer 16:23, 24 July 2011 (PDT)
If gift items simply trigger a free drop, why wouldn't F2P players get hats from them? » Cooper Kid (Blether · Contreebs) 19:20, 24 July 2011 (PDT)
F2P players can't get hats. --SilverHammer 19:21, 24 July 2011 (PDT)
Ah right. Never knew that - I assumed "standard" just meant not vintage or unusual. Though I know for a fact that F2Players can still get the Ghastly Gibus through that achievement. » Cooper Kid (Blether · Contreebs) 19:38, 24 July 2011 (PDT)

Can You Really Rename This?

If you can it would be the only tool you could do this to. Jh9594 18:00, 10 October 2011 (PDT)

Pile O'Gifts player receiving Secret Saxton and additional item trivia

When using a couple Pile o' Gifts I copied the gift lines in the chatbox. Counting these lines and checking the gifts received I noticed to the following:

- I granted 23 players gifts
- There were 25 gift lines
- Only 23 'gifts' added to the Spirit of Giving counter
- 2 players received a Secret Saxton in addition to their normal gift

This has happened with 1 or multiple Saxtons in at least 4 random Pile o' Gifts I used. So I would like my added Trivia (see the history) reinstated.

I have a log with the usernames and gift lines if there still is any doubt. Wiethoofd 06:17, 30 May 2012 (PDT)
