knockback or knock back?

This is pretty petty, but in the Force-A-Nature's notes it says 'knockback'. Shouldn't that be knock back, or even Knock back? Are knockback and knock back interchangeable? Atty 13:05, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Knockback sounds and looks better in my opinion, but wait until someone else says something about it --ScoutKast 20:47, 29 July 2011 (PDT)
I'd say "knockback" sounds better as well. Best let sleeping dogs lie. Ryftt 00:53, 14 August 2011 (PDT)

Team Photo Trivia

The Scout's pose in the Team Photo is very similar to his Home Run taunt. Currently, the Scout is the only class to have a Taunt resembling his Team Photo pose. Danton 02:20, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Very fast running?

Administrator comic

The BLU Scout did in fact die as revieled in the Adminstrator comic during the war update (second page) in the screen on the bottem left.Yoshisonic 10:12 10/14/10

Considering the number of characters who have died in the "Meet the Team" videos, the various comics and the game itself, this probably isn't the best indicator... Kane.malakos 07:23, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Even though this relates to the BLU soldier (right?). In meet the spy the Soldier (along with the Heavy) were backstabbed multiple times and the Soldier was still able to wage war and the heavy was able to listen to some Earbuds in the mac update. Gamecrazy009 01:16, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Much like Kenny in South Park, all Meet the Team characters come back to life in time for the next video (or are replaced). Otherwise, the Soldier, Heavy, Medic, and many others would not be in any videos. Ryftt 00:54, 14 August 2011 (PDT)

It says in Poker Night that the Heavy is blissfully unaware of respawning - he thinks they are bad dreams. I know that's not canon, but still. Also remember that at the end of Meet the Medic there are about 30 BLU Soldiers. You shouldn't assume that there are only one of each class. » Cooper Kid (blether·contreebs) 09:11, 14 August 2011 (PDT)

New Image for Bonk and Crit-a-Cola

Would we like to use these to match the Mad Milk, or keep the cans that are currently being used? Hobolegs 19:29, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

We should, the current icons are our of place since this site switch to Hugo's icons and those two icons do not match Hugo's icons from TF2B. But ultimately this is the admin's call Z Overlord 07:17, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

New York

I personally asked some people who have been to New York and Boston, as well as a couple of Bostonians. Not a single one of them said he was from Boston based on his accent, and all of them said New York.

Someone pointed out that all the classes accents are faked based on stereotypes. Well, someone got their stereotypes mixed up, and now we have a Bostonian with a New York accent.

SalaComMander 02:52, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

I think the Bios are non-cannon to be honest. They were written before the game was out (and looked allot more like a comic book) Allot of them do not match up with the character's in game. Z Overlord 07:12, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

And this is not trivia-worthy? Need I define "trivia"? SalaComMander 08:02, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

I would agree that the Bios might not be Cannon, but there are several references to him being from Boston, most notable the achievement the year to remember which it the the year that the Boston Red Sox one the world series. Another being his you of the term "frickin" which is used by Bostonian and could be a way of chaining the truly Bostonian term "wicked" to be more understanding to people outside of New England. The finale reference that I can think of off the top of my head would be in his "meet the..." video his accent is nasally which I would say is more Bostonian then a New York accent.Schrodingerscat 03:52, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Irrelevent, irrelevent, and not entirely true. The references to him being from Boston are not the point. He is from Boston, Valve said so, and what they say goes. The problem here is the fact that his accent is that of a New Yorker, not a Bostonian. SalaComMander 06:40, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Lack of uniformity

Between the English page and a wide number of Scout pages in a different language, there seems to be a huge lack of uniformity, especially with some images, such as this image.

New strategy?

Should I add a new strategy to the strategy section?

  • Using your melee weapon you can hit enemies quickly and avoid fire with your speed.

Or is it obsolete for the time being because melee isn't as useful?

--Boregano 23:44, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
Using melee is about as useful as any other class, since his damage per hit and low health compensate for the speed. Ryftt 00:58, 14 August 2011 (PDT)

Poker Night suit card

The card of the scout in this game is the same suits for the clubs and spades aswell ? I was just very curious because I didn't get the game and this is killing me. I wanted to know to get more info on this game and make my personal research in other values other than the card alone and merge it with personal info. Do anyone have this info please ? If the jack of clubs tf2 deck card is a scout in both the spade and club suits ? --Copo 06:43, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Sandman Ammo

Currently, an infinity sign is listed as the "ammo carried" (for the ball). Since the only number for the actual ammo sign is 1 or 0, should it be listed as one? Also, since its not technically ammo, should it just say N/A as well?

BASEBALLFURIES 01:11, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Yes, but it magically recharges. With... magic... GeminiViRiS User GeminiViRiS Doubleface.jpg Talk Contribs 01:15, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

I think that the ball should count as Ammo Loaded, but not Ammo Carried, because as previously stated, it does recharge on its own, unlike most other weapons, which to replenish the Ammo Carried requires an ammo crate or a resupply cabniet. DJNerd 14:23, 4 July 2011 (PDT)

Knock back range

I've been noticing that you have to be about 5 feet away from an enemy to actually have them be shot backwards when fired upon. Does anyone know the exact distance you need to be to put the knock back into effect? GRiM US 02:25, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

"Anyone up for Taco's?"

Well, according to the comics. The Scout likes tacos. Now i dont know if this is actually a trivia thing to add but i just mentioned it :D Stunned.png The Noble Scout (T/C) 14:53, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

The question should be: Who doesn't like tacos? Ryftt 01:00, 14 August 2011 (PDT)

"Atomizer"

Should the 10 damage on the third jump be labbled as a positive? I know it is on the blog, but is it really a positive attribute? The preceding unsigned comment was added by MEDUNN (talk) • (contribs)

It is unknown whether that damage will apply to the Scout or others, so we're leaving it as-is. Please sign all your comments on talk pages with ~~~~. Thank you. --User Firestorm Flame.png Firestorm 05:23, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
The damage is applied to himself, so it should be a negative Sondii789x 06:59, 27 June 2011 (PDT)

Winger is automatic

The winger is automatic, should I add that to the abilities and trivia? --BsiGio 15:18, 21 July 2011 (PDT)

No, all the weapons are automatic, hold the trigger down and they will keep firing until all the ammo in the weapon is used up, then depending on the reload (if there is one), the user reloads and continues to fire. (The exceptions are the Scattergun, Shotgun, Frontier Justice, and Family Business, if the fire button is held, only one round is loaded, then fired.) DJNerd 20:24, 21 July 2011 (PDT)

Scout's Bloody (Sweaty?) Armpits

My brother noticed today that the Scout has bloody armpits, and he was playing on an official Valve server. I don't often play Scout; has this always been the case? InsanityOnABun 13:12, 5 August 2011 (PDT)

It might have been because he was shot and the random blood splatters happened to be on his armpits. Gross. Ryftt 01:01, 14 August 2011 (PDT)

Smissmas Story, scouts name?

In the new smissmass story comic, the blu soldier refers to scout as "Judas", possibly his name? I thought it might just be a "joke" or an insult in refrence to Judas from the 12 apostles, who in similar manner to scout betrays his "friends", so I've yet to add it. EvilHolyGuy 20:37, 15 December 2011 (PST)

Edit: it seems someone already has, so I guess it's pretty much accepted then. EvilHolyGuy 20:39, 15 December 2011 (PST)

The Demoman refers to the Soldier as Brutus Benedict Arnold Judas Bloody Iscariot. I highly doubt this is his real name. Painted Vintage Merryweather 803020.pngFyahweather 20:42, 15 December 2011 (PST)
That's what I was thinking, it really seemed like more of an insult than anything. *shrug* EvilHolyGuy 20:48, 15 December 2011 (PST)
It's undoubtedly just an insult, as the Scout had just "grassed" on him in court. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 04:05, 16 December 2011 (PST)
No in this context, I think it's possible that the Scout'd name is actually Judas. Smashbrother101 04:17, 17 December 2011 (PST)

Health problem

The scout info box incorrectly shows the scout as having 125 hp when the milkman set is equipped.

Conspiracy Theory

Guys. It's canon that Scout has eight brothers, right? And there's nine mercs. ...... /cannot be unseen Although it's nigh-impossible they're all related, it's just a fun little coincedence. :P -Chocolate Shotgun 09:16, 4 July 2012 (PDT)

In Meet The Spy, it was revealed that the Spy was having an affair with Scout's Mom... So if you're right and Spy really is one of Scout's siblings, then that's pretty fucked up. And if he's not a sibling, then who's the eighth? Pakaku 19:33, 12 July 2012 (PDT)

Health Problem

The Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol incorrectly displays 125 health when it should be 140 regular and I checked the Overheal on the 140 scout which comes out to 210 for max overheal. Guardian 21:08, 4 July 2012 (PDT)

It works for me. It shows 140 health, but maybe that's just because I'm using PVHUD. I have no idea what the original hud looks like anymore.GeneStealer 19:44, 12 July 2012 (PDT)

I don't understand the reload of this weapon

He (Scout) is just ejecting a spent shell. Unless he is carrying all 32 rounds in the container, how is this considered reloading? GeneStealer 19:40, 12 July 2012 (PDT)

In the same way that the Sticky Launcher's reload animation doesn't show any new ammunition being added to the weapon, it's considered reloading as it's when the ammo counter at the bottom-right is increased. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 01:55, 13 July 2012 (PDT)
Alright, thanks. GeneStealer 08:02, 13 July 2012 (PDT)

Scout's abilities in MvM

My infos about the innate abilities in MvM were removed because deemed as "strategies". The bit was:

In Mann vs. Machine matches he additionally has a larger money collect range, gains health from said pickups and, upon death, respawns instantly.

I think they fit the article since they refer to the class' abilities, not unlike the double capture rate. Not how one should use them.Kid Of The Century 01:25, 21 August 2012 (PDT)

Add the scouts age to bio?

Could someone who knows what their doing add it? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 1112e (talk) • (contribs) 22:42, 9 September 2012

I assume you're taking his age from the description of the Track Terrorizer? Because that's written in past-tense, so it's not necessarily his current age. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 13:42, 11 September 2012 (PDT)

Incorrect BFB ammo count

The weapon list says that the Baby Face's Blaster carries 36 bullets, though it only carries 32, like all the Scout's other shotguns (excluding the Shortstop, which is a pistol/shotgun hybrid). Citizen Shane 14:44, 30 September 2012 (PDT)
