Delete page?

In the map style guide, it says 'For maps with multiple versions, the original version – or official version – takes the normal article title, while additional versions have their full game mode appended in parentheses' and the CP version is the original, so I think this should be deleted and the cp_well article should move here (with a notice at the top of the page, of course). This is a disambiguation page. Nothing needs to be done. -- Boba 19:29, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
It also seems like the 2 map versions were added at the same time, so there is no original or official version.

cp_well was in the game at release, but ctf_well was added in the January 25, 2008 patch, before the Gold Rush update but after release. cp_well is older, by a small amount.
Sausagea1000: It is technically correct that they were not simultaneously released, but, ...
That the disambiguation page has the main title a standard wiki practice, but not the only wiki practice.
The present arrangement is actually the ideal way to set up multiple pages with the same title, the fact that these maps launched close to the wiki's launch only meant that the titles could be easily be set up "right" from the start.
The situation is different for later maps, where typically multiple versions of a map come out over time, with there being no particular reason to plan for a second map with the same name at the time of any map's release. The standard in this case does not reflect the ideal situation, or the real reasons. The Real Intent and actually reason is that when an original map comes out, the page's name is the map's unadorned name, with no speculation as to any future version. When a new version does appear, it triggers unnecessary maintenance if the original page is renamed.
Finally, the Well pages are heavily linked; therefore, swapping the disambiguation page for one of the map pages would break untold links for no reason or benefit to the wiki.
That is really the point of the guideline, that we are to avoid going back and renaming map pages as new version come out. Does the guideline need that clarification?
