The Tin-1000 is a headwear for the Engineer. It is a metallic team-colored version of the Engineer's default hard hat with goggles bolted to it. The goggle's lenses are team-colored and glow in the dark.

This item can be obtained by playing Mann vs. Machine (Mann Up Mode) with a Tour of Duty Ticket.

Update history

August 15, 2012 Patch (Mann vs. Machine Update)

  • [Undocumented] The Tin-1000 was added to the game.

September 4, 2012 Patch

  • [Undocumented] Fixed the Tin-1000 not forcing the proper bodygroup.

  • The name is a reference to the Template:W, a robot character from the Template:W series.
  • The Tin-1000 appears to be very similar in design to an Engineer robot head found in Source Filmmaker's files, much like how the designs of the Robot Running Man and the Bolted Bushman are based on their respective robots. The Engineer robot is missing from Team Fortress 2 itself, however.
