Topic on Talk:Halloween mode

The Spectral Halloween Special section in the Update History section makes no mention of Ghost Fort, only Ghost Town. Considering that every other Halloween map is cataloged in this section, should it be added? -Lord of Dominating (talk) 10:13, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

Curious,

• The October 26, 2012 Patch#Patch notes has Undocumented change "Added the new map Ghost Fort".
• The October 26, 2012 Patch#Patch notes somehow is missing "> Mann vs. Machine > Added the map Mvm_coaltown_event with a special Halloween mission" that is in the official October 26, 2012 patch notes.

I suggest MVM correction to the October 26, 2012 Patch#Patch notes.

However, while Undocumented change "Added the new map Ghost Fort" could be added, I do question whether map additions or changes are relevant to this costume restriction server mode as the maps can run and function without Halloween mode being set and there are several event effects that are not controlled by this setting. This page once covered the events more until it was realised that the costume mode and the actual events are separate topics.

Which should be added to which? There were additions suggested to two topis.

I am thinking that most of the update history entries on this page having nothing to do with this server setting should be moved to Halloween event.

Specifically, additions of Halloween maps have no effect on the server setting, and the server setting can operate on all non-Halloween maps.

I also want to think about whether the pumpkin bomb or Halloween Pumpkin are specific to the server setting or noy.

I agree with Mikado282; most of the update history is unrelated to the mode itself (adding a map to the game or including new contracts does not affect Halloween mode). - BrazilianNut (talk) 15:45, 8 October 2023 (UTC)

I mean, if we're talking about the mode itself, none of the maps, cosmetics, or cases are related at all. So if we're removing stuff unrelated to the mode, then pretty much the entire Update History can be removed.

It could go to the Halloween event, if anyone cares.
