Introduction

Everybody thinks the Machina is so bloody amazing, well they're wrong! Want to know why? You'll find out when you read my review on the good, the bad and the ugly weapons. If you have any recommendations or want to have a go at me, just leave a message in the Talk page.

What I Look For In A Weapon

When I'm crafting or deciding what items I want in my loadout, I try to pick stuff that have "flaws" I don't use. A flaw is basically a downside to something. For example, a girl at your school acts very sexy but has a flat-chest...yeah, that's a bad example, but you get the point. Basically, as well as a positive there's a negative. A good TF2 example is the choice of a Southern Hospitality or a Jag. The Southern Hospitality has the bleed-out ability for the price of no critical hits and increased bullet vulnerability. The Jag, however, has an increased construction rate for the price of less damage dealt. I would pick the Jag, you want to know why? The Jag has a flaw I barely use, I never hit people with my wrench, and I prefer to shot them with a shotgun or something. The Southern Hospitality has an ability I will never use, I never hit people with a wrench and if I tried I would miss. And on top of not using it to its advantage, I would take more damage from bullets. I would be choosing something with a positive I can't use and a negative I can use. The Jag has a positive I can use and a negative I can't use. That is what I look for when I am choosing my weapon.

Cow Mangler 5000
Cow Mangler 5000

Despite the lack of damage dealt to buildings and the painful reloading process, the Cow Mangler 5000 can make a fine addition in your backpack. However, the whole mini-crit ability isn't too flash, so I recommend sticking to the primary firing option. Besides the ability to stun enemy buildings via the fully charged shot, this weapon is definetly not something to use when engaging things like sentries. If you think you might run into one, bring something more flexible like a Rocket Launcher. But if you think the coast is clear, by all means, Mangle Away!

Soda Popper
Soda Popper

This weapon is only good when used correctly. By correctly I mean run until your Hype meter is nearly full then switch weapons, then you can switch back when you run into trouble and activate guaranteed mini-crits almost instantly.

Tomislav
Tomislav

Ever since Tomislav was released, the Heavy has become unstoppable...well for me anyway. As soon as a Heavy spots someone within a second this beast is already warmed up and firing. Saves a lot of time compared to things like the Brass Beast, the "best" heavy weapon prior to Tomislav's release. In fact, the Brass Beast is a tacky piece of shit now! Tomislav's only disadvantage is the firing rate is reduced by 20%, that's barely anything! Some disadvantage that is! I highly recommend crafting this weapon, gunning down babies will be easier than ever.

Half-Zatoichi
Half-Zatoichi

Although this is available for the Soldier as well, I recommend using this just for the Demoman. Paired up with a Chargin' Targe/Splendid Screen and you'll be unstoppable. 100% of health is restored on kill for the price of not being able to switch weapons once drawn, which doesn't matter if you’re in Medieval Mode because you have to use your melee weapon anyway! This is defiantly a weapon to obtain if you are a fan on DeGroot Keep!

Machina
Machina

Penetrating multiple enemies with a single shot can be pretty useful...for the Cow Mangler 5000. But when Valve tried to do this for a Sniper Rifle, I didn't see the point. Sure, you can score multiple headshots with one bullet, but wouldn't the fact that the Sniper moves unbelievably slowly when scoped and that the shot won't penetrate until it has fully charged make things difficult? Yes, it will. This advantage has been put into a position where it will be barely used. Unless Valve does something to make this weapon not suck it will remain in the Notlist.

Righteous Bison
Righteous Bison

The Righteous Bison was the most disappointing thing since my son. I mean, if Valve where going to make a WETA Workshop weapon for TF2 they could of at least done it with some dignity. So what if it is more accurate than a shotgun, so does the Rocket Launcher/Cow Mangler 5000. And if someone gets to close and you don't want to hurt yourself with your primary weapon, you can either switch to your Righteous Bison or switch to a Shotgun. Even though the bullets aren't accurate it can still deal more damage at close range. So I guess this weapon was made for the pure purpose of taking up space in your Backpack.

Sun-on-a-Stick
Sun-on-a-Stick

This is definitely a Medieval Mode weapon due to its attributes. Dealing crits to someone who is on fire sounds awesome but why hit them with it when you could completely destroy their ass by shooting them with a Scattergun; it's bound to do more damage.

Sharpened Volcano Fragment
Sharpened Volcano Fragment

I like the look of this but I don't see the point of setting someone on fire with this when you could easily do it with a Flamethrower. Kind of pointless. I would recommend this for Medieval Mode only.
