Hi, your edits are being undone because they don't contain information that really belongs in those pages. The users that read the wiki are generally not interested in detailed percentage diffs from base stats, nor does terminology that is technically correct but unintuitive (i.e. replacing the reference to "melee attacks" with "default fist". It's correct, but most people don't intuitively see it as the "default fist"). Per the topic above some of this is more appropriate for the strategy pages. Also it's best to not make the intro summaries information dense. It's meant to be an article overview and to let people decide if they want to continue with the article body. -- [[User:Lagg|Lagg]] [[File:Backpack_Stickybomb_Launcher.png|24px|link=User_talk:Lagg]] 08:42, 1 September 2016 (PDT)

Hello, Hayzze!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Hayzze to the file's name.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Hayzze/ to the page title when you create the page.

Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Gate Way Error

I am getting errors all the time when trying to load pages, someone please help. Hayzze (talk) 19:41, 15 January 2016 (PST)

That can't be helped. The recent wiki update really messed up the servers. All you can do is keep spamming refresh until they fix it, but it won't be fixed for a while. --User Dr. Scaphandre Golden Ghastly Gibus.png Dr. Scaphandre 19:44, 15 January 2016 (PST)

Removing talk page discussions

Please do not remove discussions from your talk page. Other users may wish to comment on the subjects at hand, and editing them out doesn't necessarily solve the issues that are being discussed.

With regards to the discussions that are being removed, I'd like to ask that you pay heed to the recommendations, particularly those pertaining to show preview and showing respect to other editors. A Wiki works best when users discuss issues together rather than fighting each other over how a page should look, so edit wars have a very detrimental effect on work. As well, using the show preview button allows you to make edits without accidental formatting mistakes (particularly with template work) and leaves less clutter in the change log.

Since you're new to editing the Wiki, you may be well served to come by our IRC channel to ask for help on things you may be having trouble with.

There were too many new discussions. If they want to further comment they can comment in a previous discussion. Also I have looked at the help, and I do use preview now. The problem I have is that a lot of my edits are being changed and the grammar becomes worse. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hayzze (talk) • (contribs)

There are too many new discussions because you're doing a lot of radical changes that a lot of users may not agree on. Part of a wiki is how you collaborate with the other editors to make changes and additions. Also, compared to my talk page, you hardly had any discussions.
Look, I know you're new and itching to get started, I was the same way when I first joined since I really want a Wiki Cap. You can't just drive a car without learning how to drive it first. Just slow down, learn the ropes of the wiki, talk with the other users to get some lessons from them, and look for a job that requires your attention.
For a shameless plugin, if you're looking for something to do, you could help with the Community Strategy Project as we need a lot strategy pages updated and added onto. --User Dr. Scaphandre Golden Ghastly Gibus.png Dr. Scaphandre 20:17, 15 January 2016 (PST)

I didn't even want a cap. I first started editing the Frenchman's Formals because the description was incorrect, and also because I noticed bugs in the Nostromo and Rainblower.Hayzze (talk) 21:04, 15 January 2016 (PST)

You're still not using show preview correctly. Those six or so changes you made to the Ubersaw page could have all been done in a single edit, instead of one edit at a time adding in linking or a few extra words. When editing a page, please take the time to use show preview to get in all the changes that you want in a single edit.
Sorry I am not changing grammatical errors etc., I am adding new content unrelated to old content that I did not think of before.Hayzze (talk) 00:29, 16 January 2016 (PST)
And please, read the style guide before you commit further edits. A lot of your last edits have been reverted since they don't follow the style or trivia guides, to avoid this in the future it helps to know what is acceptable and what is not. Again, if you're not sure if something should be added or not, please consult other users first. We have an IRC channel that has users who can help you to get started on the Wiki properly.
I don't want to sound discouraging, but your contributions so far have not been very beneficial to the Wiki so far (we do want to help you improve, which is why we've been posting on your talk page). If you are serious about helping to improve the Wiki, then please take the time to learn how to best do so. --User LordKelvin Signature.png LordKelvin 23:44, 15 January 2016 (PST)
BTW some other editors have kept my new info: Carbine can only charge bar (prim. and mel. can't), hitman's 1-10 sec based on charge focus, Ubersaw alt-fire taunt, Bugs in reskin flamethrowers and backburner, and panic attack cannot switch weapons while loaded ammo. Should I first tell other people new information I have found and ask them to edit if it is good material but I don't know how to write it?Hayzze (talk) 00:33, 16 January 2016 (PST)
The problem is the way you write, not the info you added. I kept only the info and remove the parts that not reach the wiki quality. Please read the Style guide for real this time. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 04:15, 16 January 2016 (PST)

Show Preview and Edit button on the top of the page

Pictogram info.png Please make use of the Show preview button. It gives you a preview of the edit you are making, allowing you to perfect your changes before you save the page. You can edit the whole article by clicking the edit button at the top of the page, which is preferable to editing multiple sections consecutively. Here is the case you did, and this is not your first warning. If you need to do the massive page edit, I suggest to use text editor program to do the whole page and put in your sandbox to ask other contributors suggestion/advice before do in actual pages instead. Class Strategy Massive Edits

Before you do any more major edits to the class strategy pages, I'd like to discuss it with you at my project page. I have a thread set up for this. --User Dr. Scaphandre Golden Ghastly Gibus.png Dr. Scaphandre 13:01, 30 January 2016 (PST)

How do I get to your project page? Hayzze (talk) 17:20, 30 January 2016 (PST)

Wait I may have found it. Is it in the link on your wiki page? Hayzze (talk) 17:36, 30 January 2016 (PST)

In case you don't read any page but your talk page.

Do not add your comment in other people's comment. It makes the page looks harder to understand. And group your every thought you want to say before write them down in comment, it likes cluster that you did on many pages and nobody don't want to read torn newspaper like your comment that torn both your and my comment to nearly unreadable. Acceptable English Translation.) (Do not integrate your reply within other people's comments; it makes the page illegible. Also, collect every thought you want to say before writing your comment (in order to be able to write them down at the same time), instead of writing your comments like the clusters that you made on many pages. Nobody wants to read torn newspaper, for example the likeness to torn newspaper you created when you commented earlier, effectively 'tearing newspaper', making both of our comments nearly unreadable and ruining the flow of the conversation.) Your recent edits on Homewrecker and Loch-n-Load

Please do not put anything relate to strategy like "The advantage of the Homewrecker is that it only takes one swing to completely destroy a Sapper, rather than the two swings it would take either the Neon Annihilator or most wrenches to do so, or the three swings that the Jag would take to do so." or ". This is the strategy, and it should not stay in the item page itself. Also please use show preview button before save the page, it'll give you the nice view of the page before publish. Thank you. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 06:18, 12 June 2016 (PDT)

The Neon Annihilator page says that the Homewrecker and Maul also destroy buildings, but in one hit instead of two. Maybe change that then? Hayzze (talk) 06:19, 12 June 2016 (PDT)
That one have to stay because the Neon Annihilator needs 2 hits to destroy the sapper but the Homewrecker / Maul can do in just one, despite they both have the same attribute. Also it didn't state like you said above. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 09:54, 12 June 2016 (PDT)

Show Preview 2: Electric Boogaloo

Pictogram info.png Please make use of the Show preview button. It gives you a preview of the edit you are making, allowing you to perfect your changes before you save the page. This is your final warning

I told you I'm not going to edit war with you, and for you to take this into my talk page. Ignore my warnings one more time and I'm putting a two week block on you.

You want to debate the edits, take it to my talk page. The recent changes log does not need bickering. --User Dr. Scaphandre Golden Ghastly Gibus.png Dr. Scaphandre 07:13, 31 August 2016 (PDT)

I did. Go read it now. Hayzze (talk) 07:19, 31 August 2016 (PDT)

The third time of warning that I still not see the point why you still doing like this

Pictogram info.png Please make use of the Show preview button. It gives you a preview of the edit you are making, allowing you to perfect your changes before you save the page. You can edit the whole article by clicking the edit button at the top of the page, which is preferable to editing multiple sections consecutively. (List of cases: 1 2) In my opinion, you should use the text editor like Notepad or WordPad to do these sort of editing, asking yourself a lot of time before press the Save page, or just click the Preview button which is in Bold. (You know how to save page but can't see the bold?) User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 01:59, 1 September 2016 (PDT)

Reason your edits are being undone

Hi, your edits are being undone because they don't contain information that really belongs in those pages.
