I decided to quit wiki, it's not about the conflict between me and that person, but it's mainly because of how people threated me here in the recent year. I lost motivation because of it. Always threated me like a bad person. I thought about quitting years ago. It's hard to maintain the mental level to above average. But with the recent behavior I received, I decided to do it. It's heart broken for me to leave the site that make me be me. But this place is no longer the place I used to know anymore.

I don't want to keep seeing this, you and and MLGM need to duke it out over a talk page instead of the main articles themselves. :It's not warring. I think the region block is trivia, he think not. so I asked him why remove, he said It isn't trivia. Then I moved it to Notes section, and he edited some grammar.

:In another class page, I talked with him so I keep only In-game Tips, and he can edit anything.

:: Okay, then how about I say it this way: Don't be immediately hostile about it next time. If you undo someone's edit and they aren't happy about it and try to revert it. Hi there,

The killicon in your signature is a tad too big and messes up the line spacing between comments. It should be no more than 19px tall, see here. I did indeed link the wrong one, not sure how that happened. The proper discussion here, outside of either of our messages, has 3 people agreeing that weapon stats would be too much, and the other people don't mention it or only mention stat patch notes in general and not specifically having the old stats.<br> | <span style="color:green;font-family:TF2 Build;">s</span> | <font color="DB9C1F">GrampaSwood</font> (<font color="DB9C1F">talk</font>) 09:41, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

Why in the world did you remove my edit? The contribution page had the approved tag. 14:15, 11 June 2012 (PDT)
+
: That discussion never really went anywhere and didn't have a proper conclusion as nothing was ever properly addressed. Discussions being abandoned is sadly pretty common, but nothing was really agreed upon in this case.
:Damn, I was move style templete to over update history. I didn't remove it. I think it was a mistake by wiki. Hinaomi 17:57, 11 June 2012 (PDT)
+
: Like I said in the message: patch notes can be freely modified in articles. This has always been the case, and there's simply no reason to change it now. You may dislike that some pages do have this info and others don't, but that's a preference, not a reason for change.
 +
: You could also update the ones that lack these detailed stats or come up a better way to display old stats (which I believe is your goal here). <!-- Also, Hi Hinaomi! --> — <span style="font-weight:bold;color: #5BC236">Tark</span> 13:13, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

::Like I said on IRC:
<small>Written under the inspiration that the free will and the free word are applied to everything on the wiki</small><br>
+
::* If you gonna keep it as 1:1, rename the section to Patch note (as that, you can just copy & paste everything from the official patch note).
As you maybe saw my nomination was revoked but fear not there is a worthy reason for it. My translations are not very bad, but still bad. My grammar is to much orientated onto the english one and still sucks. <br>
+
::* If you want to keep it as Update history, keep it as it is for now or find a better way to display the different state of said weapons (as Tark mentioned).
So i just wanted to inform you, and all other backers that i liked your text which you wrote about but still it's without a meaning.<br>
+
::As right now, I still don't have a better idea/method to display the old stats of the weapon with drastically changes like Soda Popper or Short Circuit. == Discussion ==

I move on and leave the wiki because i think no one cares about the "weaker" languages, and my suggestions and cries for help on my language are used as a sign of pestering against me.
+
See this discussion.<br> | <span style="color:green;font-family:TF2 Build;">s</span> | <font color="DB9C1F">GrampaSwood</font> (<font color="DB9C1F">talk</font>) 22:59, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
The long waits between nominations and the discussions and the denial of my opinions to make it better, made it clear to me that there is only one step to make the wiki more efficient and i mean not my grammar skill. I would like to have half of the wiki staff replaced with more active and more dedicated persons. Or even better no moderator at all and a general overlooking rule by all editors, the people. (i was the lonely overlooker in german...) <br>

But as i know that this is not happening, and i'm not dedicated(<funny word) enough, the best is to stop my drone work and dont pester around anymore. I have no right to speak bad and upset anyone, but i can at least express to you what i'm doing and why i'm doing it.<br>

You maybe think that this is a cheap and it is indeed cheap, but i think if you have one right, then it is the right to express your feelings and your reasoning to a person which back'ed you up. So at last i give you a great tipp: You should always consider: FreeXMan as your friend, he is an awesomely nice guy, and also Epic_Eric of course. The rest of the moderators are still an unwritten book to me, but with the right key you can unlock them maybe, i never got into these people's head.<br>

So i wish you the best for the future on the wiki, but for me the wiki has died. Goodbye TheDoctor 18:08, 17 June 2012 (PDT)

Not showing levels as a bug
Hi, I know this discussion was ended one block up, but I re-added all of them and I'd like to explain why they are bugs. The reason the levels don't show up is because they are missing the description strings in tf_english. The items are properly set up for the levels to appear in the schema, but are missing strings. As with the Backwards Ballcap and Texas Half Pants, missing strings are very much bugs, and need to be listed. The game is trying to show the levels, not seeing a proper localization for them, and then just forgetting it. Thanks! Balladofwindfishes 17:37, 22 July 2012 (PDT)

:If you have source like this, you can add and I'll forget about missing level. Hinaomi <small>(talk) - (contributions)</small> 20:38, 22 July 2012 (PDT)

Hinaomi, you are repeatedly making unnecessary changes. These changes are made worse because you are not an advanced enough English speaker to understand the different phrasing and word order in some sentences. I understand you are just trying to help but please try to avoid these needless changes. -- Pilk (talk) 07:01, 23 July 2012 (PDT)

Hey
Why did you delete the gunslinger when I typed it in the wrenches section of "See also"? The gunslinger is literally a wrench since you can build dispensers, sentries, teleporter entries and exits. In my opinion the Gunslinger qualifies as a wrench, so you should leave it alone after I re-enter it.

:Mechanic hand doesn't same as Wrench. I use animations, models, point to use, etc. to judge what weapon need to include in see also. ::Oh look, AGAIN. You know the Cow Mangler qualifies as a rocket launcher considering that it's huge and bulky plus that it shoots projectiles? You can rocket jump with it, you can shoot projectiles with it, so I have no idea what the Cow Mangler 5000 can't do what the Rocket launcher can do. TheKitchenEditor 08:00, 27 July 2012 (PDT)

:::Laser =/= Rocket Launcher and its shape isn't look like Rocket Launcher, unique reload animation, have charge shot ability.  Hinaomi <small>(talk) - (contributions)</small> 08:03, 27 July 2012 (PDT)

::::Well its Soldier's primary weapon, and in his primary slot he wields Rocket Launchers. I personally think the Cow Mangler 5000 is a rocket launcher. Sure, it is different from his usual rocket launchers but still...  <small>— The preceding unsigned comment was added by TheKitchenEditor (talk) • (contributions) </small>

:::::It has charge shot alt-fire, also concept different from another Rocket Launcher (Retro Future, not like another one) Hinaomi <small>(talk) - (contributions)</small> 08:23, 27 July 2012 (PDT)

::::::Well, many players consider the Cow mangler 5000 a Rocket Launcher. Just go ahead and type it on youtube, google, or your average search engine. I know a lot of people who call it a rocket launcher and I've rarely even heard of anyone calling it a lazer gun. Sure, it is a lazer gun but it resembles features of your average rocket launcher such as rocket jumping, shooting projectiles and plus damaging the enemy. The closest thing to a lazer gun is the Righteous Bison because it "Ricochets" through the enemy.  TheKitchenEditor 08:31, 27 July 2012 (PDT)

:::::::Youtube isn't the best to find source and also its mechanic doesn't have any same as rocket launcher. (unique reload, unlimited ammo, firing laser, alt-fir ability, concept) These all aren't enough? If you will said "Why Beggar's Bazooga include in See Also?", because it fires Rocket and its shape look close Rocket Launcher more than Cow Mangler 5000. == Unused versus Bug sounds for Original and Machina ==

The reloading sounds are set up to work for both the Original and Machina. They're only unused in the sense they don't actually work. Both are set up properly (or... well I guess not properly, but they made a good attempt), they just don't work for whatever reason. This makes them a bug, rather than unused content. Departure

I may come back to check the update, but not as the contributor any more. Thank you for supporting me in the past, it's time for me to move on. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 01:20, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Sorry to hear that you left on bad terms. Thank you for your effort over the years, it's much appreciated. You're welcome back anytime, friend. i-ghost (talk) 23:04, 26 September 2022 (UTC)

DYK undo

Hi there,

The Trivia guidelines don't apply to the Did You Know section, it has its own set of guidelines. The glove fact is a valid DYK fact, but it has been featured before.

IRC message

I did indeed link the wrong one, not sure how that happened. The proper discussion here, outside of either of our messages, has 3 people agreeing that weapon stats would be too much, and the other people don't mention it or only mention stat patch notes in general and not specifically having the old stats.
BLU Wiki Cap.png | s | GrampaSwood (talk) 09:41, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

That discussion never really went anywhere and didn't have a proper conclusion as nothing was ever properly addressed. Discussions being abandoned is sadly pretty common, but nothing was really agreed upon in this case.
Like I said in the message: patch notes can be freely modified in articles. This has always been the case, and there's simply no reason to change it now. You may dislike that some pages do have this info and others don't, but that's a preference, not a reason for change.
You could also update the ones that lack these detailed stats or come up a better way to display old stats (which I believe is your goal here). — Tark 13:13, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
Like I said on IRC:
 • If you gonna keep it as 1:1, rename the section to Patch note (as that, you can just copy & paste everything from the official patch note).
 • If you want to keep it as Update history, keep it as it is for now or find a better way to display the different state of said weapons (as Tark mentioned).
As right now, I still don't have a better idea/method to display the old stats of the weapon with drastically changes like Soda Popper or Short Circuit. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig-2.png Asuka Ninomiya (talk) • (contributions) 22:45, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
