Also new to the wikis ^^ Not sure where to post the problem I'm seeing-- On the Itsy Bitsy Spyer page, the RED thumbnail shows the RED spy, but clicking the link takes you to a full-size image of a BLU spy. I believe the thumbnail should be changed to a BLU spy, seeing as it is a voodoo doll (I have not seen the item in-game used by a team yet, but common sense makes me feel this is true). Vice-cersa for the BLU item image. I'm posting this here because I believe Ragnar is the person who uploaded the correct full-size RED version of the Spyer.

≈== Painted images == Hey there. Your painted items are good. They don't have any anti-aliasing though, something that is a requirement. If you follow the tutorial here: Template:Painted variants/Tutorial you can see how to get anti-aliasing in HLMV. -- Pilk (talk) 09:38, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Anti-aliased all of them and put the revised images up. Thanks for letting me know. Could've sworn Model Viewer was set to anti-alias... RagnarHomsar 10:03, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Official Item Images

Hey there!

I'm new to the Wiki and was just wondering, where do you find the official item pictures? (The ones with the random class posing with the item) Shawnchi 18:25, 23 August 2011 (PDT)

I take the images by loading the class model and then loading the hat via "Load Weapon" (bizarre I know) in the Source SDK Model Viewer. Also, don't forget to sign your talk pages with four tildes (~). User RagnarHomsar Userlink.png RagnarHomsar 18:25, 23 August 2011 (PDT)
Ah, I see. Then how do you get the Backpack icons?

Shawnchi 18:26, 23 August 2011 (PDT)

Extract them from the GCF using GCFScape from "team fortress 2 materials.gcf" and materials/backpack. They sometimes have random names, though. User RagnarHomsar Userlink.png RagnarHomsar 18:28, 23 August 2011 (PDT)

Thanks

Hey, sorry about all of those changes there, I will make sure to use the show preview option more in the future. I didn't mean to be a bother, I just really wanted to help improve some of these Community Map Strategy pages, some of them have little to no tips on them at all, like the community Mountain Lab Strategy page. Thanks for the heads up there though. AnthonyX 17:38, 2 September 2011 (PDT)

Unused textures

  • Hello you sent me a msg about the textures to verify if they're in the gcf, yes they are. Do you want me to upload them on the website?
First I've heard of these. Yeah, upload them somewhere, give me the exact filenames too. I'll compare them to my GCFs. User RagnarHomsar Userlink.png RagnarHomsar 00:33, 4 September 2011 (PDT)
  • Ok, but also I'd like someone to verify before they delete, I add the file names, even sometimes their locations in the gcf, and they keep getting deleted or reverted. Doktorpsyko 00:38, 4 September 2011 (PDT)

I found this lying around,

Woops

I'm not sure what happened there. I meant to only add the Cleanup template. I don't know how all of that text was removed really. Rolandius 20:57, 15 September 2011 (PDT)

Bugged Achievements

I left a note on this talk page regarding your recent revert of an edit I made: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Talk:Obtaining_Engineer_achievements#Bugged_Achivements

AaAaAaAaAaAaA!

Homsar? HOMSAR? You are good son, real good. Maybe even the best. Homsar is possibly the greatest character in H*R. And you have him in your name. Amazing. Commendable. Positively grandtabulastic. --NobleSkull :D - 11:49, 2 October 2011 (PDT)

Fyahweather-Commissioned Pictures

Ragnar, I know you're a good hand at making pictures for the wiki. Could you do me a favor and change/add some of the item set pictures? The current ones seem a bit too bland for my taste. Here's a few ideas.

Black Market Business: Capo Capper Heavy taunting with Family Business, pointing at the reader
A Thousand and One Demoknights: Sultan's Ceremonial Demoman taunting with his Persian Persuader while wearing the Splendid Screen and Ali Baba's Wee Booties (current one does not have boots)
General's Formals: Armored Authority Soldier taunting with the Disciplinary Action while wearing Mantreads and Fancy Dress Uniform
The #1 Fan: Bonk Boy Scout taunting with the Atomizer
Man of Honor: Cosa Nostra Spy brushing off his suit while holding an Enforcer and wearing a Made Man

I know it may seem like a lot, but judging from your last works this shouldn't be too much. Thanks in advance! Painted Vintage Merryweather 803020.pngFyahweather 11:52, 30 August 2011 (PDT)

Thanks for doing the Black Market Business and Thousand and One Demoknights. Quick Question: Why did you put a Big Earner in the Man of Honor one instead?Painted Vintage Merryweather 803020.pngFyahweather 15:49, 1 September 2011 (PDT)
Because the Enforcer's barrel looks bizarre in HLMV. It's not where it's positioned in-game, it's to the side. User RagnarHomsar Userlink.png RagnarHomsar 16:23, 1 September 2011 (PDT)

You made a community strategy header picture for the Soldier page, right? Can you do the Wiki a favor and make more? I was thinking about (all RED):

A new Demoman picture (just something to do with explosives, our one isn't much good)
An UberCharged Heavy revving up his Minigun.
An Engineer whacking with his wrench at his level 3 sentry as it reloads rockets.
A Sniper scoping and aiming directly at the camera.
A Pyro blasting fire while running, probably at an angle.
A team-switched version of our current Backstab image.
A Meet the Medic pose with the normal MediGun.

Thank you. Painted Vintage Merryweather 803020.pngFyahweather 22:23, 22 October 2011 (PDT)

Even more requests! These are for individual strategies, all RED unless pointed out.

Several Engineers in their humiliation pose behind several buildings, primarily Dispensers and Level 3 Sentries. For the Turtle page.
Several RED Scouts with Bats all running toward one neutral Control Point. For the Rush page.
A Soldier shooting a Scout in midair with a rocket from the default Launcher. For the Aerial page.
A Pyro running behind a revved-up Heavy with a Backburner. For the Ambush page.
A Soldier shooting a Demoman aiming at his feet to juggle him with the Rocket Launcher. For the Juggling page.
Just a generally improved Strafing picture (make the Scout's face less awkward, stop the Sandvich clipping, etc). For the Strafing page.
A team-changed Compression Blast picture. For the Compression blast page.
A Soldier holding his Rocket Launcher facing the left, and a Demoman holding his grenade launcher. For use in the Artillery section of the Team strategy page.
A Heavy revving up his Minigun facing the left, a Pyro with his Flame Thrower facing the right, and a Scout aiming at the camera smiling as he holds his Bat. For use in the Close Combat section of the Team strategy page.
An Engineer brandishing his wrench facing the left, and a Medic holding out his MediGun while facing the right. For use in the Support section of the Team Strategy page.
A Sniper scoped in facing the left, and a Spy slashing with his knife facing the right. For use in the Assassination section of the Team Strategy page.

And...I think we're done! Painted Vintage Merryweather 803020.pngFyahweather 19:20, 26 October 2011 (PDT)

Unused tf2 maps?

I was going through game files and saw these maps CP_BLOODSTAINED and pl_halfacre. Should I include these in Unused Content page? Doktorpsyko 20:15, 22 November 2011 (PST)

These are custom maps, where were they in the game files? If just in the /team fortress 2/tf/maps folder then it's most likely they're maps your client has downloaded from a server at some point. -RJ 01:33, 23 November 2011 (PST)

Reverting Itsy Bitsy Spyer images

Hey, the update was successful -- the files are currently opposite team colored. They will appear to be wrong in the history because of caching issues on the wiki server. Here are the actual latest versions:

So you shouldn't need to make any more replacements. I've fallen for the same thing. There's a little link in that red box on the file page that you can check before you replace the image so you don't get bitten like me! --Fashnek 20:54, 1 December 2011 (PST)
