New Turkish Translator

Hi, Seb. I just wanted to draw your attention to a new translator-in-the-making - Memre98. He's very keen to help but needs a little nudge to get started - I've pointed him towards the translation help pages but as I'm no expert on using any of the templates there I thought you would be a better source of guidance. We also need your help on another matter - there is an issue with the tables on the Spy/tr page which he has asked me to fix. Again, as I'm inexperienced with this kind of thing I'm finding it very difficult to figure out which line of code to change to fix it. Do you think you could take a look at it yourself? Thanks for any help =) » Cooper Kid (blether·contreebs) 10:18, 2 September 2011 (PDT)

WebAPI

Could you review why my edit on WebAPI keeps getting reverted? Among other things, I am bolding the title of the article like articles are supposed to be. Rolandius 21:08, 25 September 2011 (PDT)

It is likely to be because you keep changing every instance of 'Web API' and 'API key' to 'WebAPI' and 'WebAPI Key' as well as bolding the title - this is incorrect and reads awkwardly. I would imagine that there would be no problem with you bolding the title, but changing anything else like what I just said would really not be helpful to the article (even if it is considered 'correct') seb26 23:48, 25 September 2011 (PDT)
"Web API" is not the same as "WebAPI"? I am just copying the title of the article. If "WebAPI" is incorrect, then it should be moved to "Web API". If they are two different things, then nevermind. I didn't change "API key" to "WebAPI Key". That was an older edit. I changed "API key" to "WebAPI key" due to what I mentioned earlier. Rolandius 23:58, 25 September 2011 (PDT)
WebAPI and Web API are referring to the same thing, which is exactly the reason why no instance of either needs to be altered or 'fixed', including the article title. seb26 00:00, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
In the same manner, it shouldn't be "reverted". It is like telling the user "That was a minor non-problem and was there already, therefore it is grandfathered in. By the way, catching minor things in articles is bad. Unless you did the error, in which case it will be reverted in order to confuse you to the Nth degree on how to edit". Rolandius 00:16, 26 September 2011 (PDT)
It is not a problem having the title 'WebAPI' and referring to it as 'API' or 'Web API'. Changing the words every time the API key is mentioned to 'WebAPI key' when 'API key' or even just 'key' suffices is not helpful and is even less helpful when it's much more wordier and harder to read like that. I think it would be good if you understood that the majority of issues people have with your edits are because while being 'correct' in whatever circumstance they don't actually help the article and in some cases they make it worse. It is important to weigh the two factors when editing, as making the article better for the reader is often more important than the ensuring the article's contents have been correctly bolded or capitalized. seb26 00:27, 26 September 2011 (PDT)

Phrases colored in articles

I was wondering what you thought of having in-game phrases in articles colored. For example, "...will have the words 'Critical Hit!!!' (Or 'Mini-Crit!' respectively) appear over their head in green letters..." would be changed to "...will have the words Critical Hit!!! (Or Mini-Crit! respectively) appear over their head in green letters...." Rolandius 22:23, 25 September 2011 (PDT)

(Sven strolls in off the street, seeing this interesting idea by watching the Recent changes page) I'd just like to be the first to point out that, while it would be a nice addition to the wiki, it's an amazingly time consuming idea. All of the articles that mention those words, in every language currently supported here, would need the change. So unless there was a bot/script to do the work, it seems like an enormous project with little change being made in the process. My two cents. Sven 22:36, 25 September 2011 (PDT)
In case this helps, it would only be quoted in-game phrases. For example, "A critical hit is when..." would not be changed, but "You will see 'Critical Hit!!!' appear over a player's character if..." would be changed. I don't think there are that many of those kind of sentences in articles. Rolandius 22:49, 25 September 2011 (PDT)
I think this would be too much. Colour generally should not be used in body text like this seb26 23:23, 25 September 2011 (PDT)
Okay. I was just wondering because I have seen other wikis use it to supposedly make their articles "better", at least to themselves. :) Rolandius 23:26, 25 September 2011 (PDT)

balloon race page

Just a quick question, why was the balloon race page not considered for a community map? there are currently 2 balloon levels, and around 5-6 servers that run those maps at least 2 of them 24/7Nibelhim 06:25, 27 September 2011 (PDT)

Query

Shouldn't instances of pages with (Classic) after them actually have (classic) instead? I noticed that everything else uses that method like (disambiguation), (game mode), etc. Rolandius 09:24, 28 September 2011 (PDT)
