Team Fortress Wiki:Reports/Long redirects

Is this really necessary?  –  Epic Eric (T | C) 09:13, 2 December 2011 (PST)

Class Bio: "Beta" linkage.

Don't you think that linking players to the TF2 Open Beta might mislead them to believe that those former emblems (that were used in early iterations of TF2) are actually in the open beta? I think no linkage would be the best, unless you have a better term than "Beta" that would be more descriptive for these unused/beta/early iteration emblems. 404: User Not Found (talk) 02:06, 9 December 2011 (PST)

Random Crafting Recipes

Hey Seb. A while ago I made a page which lists all of the hats which can only be obtained through random crafting, either using Fabricate Class Headgear, Fabricate Headgear or Rebuild Headgear. I figured it would be useful to have this information, as the Crafting page isn't very clear, especially to new users who might want to try and craft a specific hat.

I figured the best thing to do would be to change the "Craft" link in the Item Infobox for hats which can only be crafted using one of those recipes so that it redirects to my page, rather than the generic Crafting page. There was a bit of discussion on your Availability template on this, but that was a while ago and nothing has happened yet. I'd appreciate your expert opinion on this. Thanks!

RE: Something like that - a parameter which adds the "Craft" text as usual, but links to the Random crafting recipes page instead. And only for those hats which can only be crafted using those recipes, i.e. none of the Ploycount hats or the Bonk Helm. It's just because I've seen quite a few people who use the Wiki to try and find crafting recipes for a hat they like, and clicking that link in the item infobox but being confused when they can't find the hat listed on the Crafting page. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 19:49, 10 December 2011 (PST)

Oh, that's how.

I thought it had something to do with the bizarre brackets. Davo 03:06, 28 December 2011 (PST)
