Bottoms up! Why contemplate the moral ambiguity of your violent actions when you can drink your guilt away!(sic)
Cheers! publicity blurb

Cheers! is a community-created special taunt for all classes.

When activated, the class takes out a drink, makes a toast (except the Soldier), and drinks it, then performs a class-specific animation before either putting or throwing the drink's container away.

The respective drinks of each class are as follows:

  • Scout: A team-colored Solo cup.
  • Soldier: A green, corked army canteen.
  • Pyro: A small, team-colored canister of gasoline.
  • Demoman: A silver, thatched flask used for hard liquor.
  • Heavy: A bottle of vodka with a team-colored label with the Team Fortress logo.
  • Engineer: A vintage beer bottle with a latch lid and team-colored label with his class emblem.
  • Medic: A team-colored, frothy beer stein, with his class emblem.
  • Sniper: A thermos with a team-colored and green plaid design.
  • Spy: A glass of red wine.

For the voice lines and animations of each class, please refer to the respective class taunts articles.

The Cheers! was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Bugs

  • When viewed in the Engineer's loadout menu, the beer bottle does not appear during the taunt, but spawns between his feet once the taunt ends.[1]
  • As a Medic, performing this taunt while having the Quick-Fix or the Vaccinator active causes the default Medi Gun's backpack to appear on his player model until the end of the taunt.
    • This does not happen if a cosmetic item that hides his backpack model is also equipped alongside.
  • As a Heavy on BLU, performing this taunt while having Unique or Strange Fists active causes the bottle to use the RED variant.
    • This does not happen with the stock (Normal) variant.
