Marshlands is a symmetrical community-created Hold the Flag map released during the Scream Fortress 2025 update. It is a Halloween-themed version of the custom map Winter Ridge.
Marshlands was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
Locations
- Spawns: The RED team spawns inside of a large brick facility while BLU spawns within the confines of a steel factory. Each team has three separate spawn exits available.
- Dead Tree: Located in front of the spawns, on the left/right side, is a open field with a dead tree in its middle. A spell book typically spawns here.
- Dugout: This is one of the paths leading to the Holdout Area. It is a narrow cave that starts near the Dead Tree area and leads to a medium health and ammo pack.
- Warehouse: A large, single-room building that offers the quickest route from the Spawn to the Holdout Area. It can be accessed through two big and wide open barn doors.
- Stairwell: Inside the Warehouse's right/left wall is a stairwell that leads to the top of the Railway Bridge. Found beneath the stairs is also a medium health and ammo pack.
- Holdout Area: This is the central-most part of the map. Found in its middle is a hut overgrown with vines that houses the intelligence that players have to hold onto. In order to successfully achieve this, the player with the intelligence must not leave the confines of the Holdout Area, lest the briefcase get teleported back to the hut. The border of the Holdout Area is clearly marked with a faint green mist and it includes the hut and its immediate surroundings, as well as the entirety of the Railway Bridge.
- Railway Bridge: Found on the right/left side of the Holdout Area is a railway bridge elevated above ground that connects the two Stairwells. Below the bridge is a small health pack and a medium ammo pack, behind which is a deadly pitfall.
- Perch: Opposite the Railway Bridge, on the other side of the Holdout Area, is an opening in the cliff that leads to a perch overlooking crocodile infested waters. It features a medium health and ammo pack, and is not a part of the Holdout Area.
