Bolding Userlinks

Making user links bold seems like an odd thing to do. It makes it much more difficult to find large edits and watched pages on the Recent Changes page. Before the change, one could glance at the Recent Changes page and identify both of those things very quickly and intuitively. Now, with every user name being in bold as well, one almost needs to read every line individually to figure that information out. Also, names were already easily identifiable and stood out by their placement on each line and always followed by "(Talk | contribs)"; no matter if one is looking at a page's history, or the recent changes page, or likely any other page this change affects. This extra emphasis on names makes little sense from a wiki standpoint as well, since it should matter less who edited, but more of what the edit was. The change just makes no sense to me. -C2Talon 01:46, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

Proposal: Add a top margin to the first navbox on a page. (staff, please read)

The very minimal amount of spacing between the final piece of information and the navbox upon an item page has annoyed me for a long time. Today, I set out to fix this issue. I succeeded and the answer is amazingly simple.

Simply adding 'margin-top:1em;' to the 'table.navbox' ruleset will provide a minimal, yet much nicer spacing amount to the first navbox on a page.

I created a quick album illustrating the difference and the various issues that I anticipated here: http://imgur.com/a/vXASD

I've installed it to my custom CSS. If you would like, I can roadtest it for a few days and will let you know if I come across any issues.

Found an issue that I did not anticipate. The Main Page has two navbox classed tables. The class table and {{CentralDiscussion}}. I understand that this should be fixed. – Smashman (talk) 09:44, 21 June 2014 (PDT)
Pictogram plus.png Support This would be good, it will give the text above more space and looks more readable (and yes, this annoyed me too) I hope the Admins put this in. RED Überneedle.png - Lexar - talk 09:43, 21 June 2014 (PDT)
Pictogram plus.png Support I tried this for some time now and I noticed a small but remarkable enhancement with this. It's especially useful on item pages, so the text is now more seperated from the navboxes. Looks good. { TidB | t | c } 17:38, 21 June 2014 (PDT)

Help icon

The help icon in recent changes page seems incorrectly placed, was it like that before? Thanks Mgpt (talk) 16:14, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

The icon itself didn't change, the "event" section was added which seems to have made it overlap. Gabrielwoj suggested switching the event and cap around if we can't move the "Help" bit.

I've just applied a small hack which both fixes the issue, but should also prevent it from happening again. — Wookipan (talk | contribs) 22:20, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
