Last man standing

Just a note: On arena, I have encountered the last man standing responses quite a few times. Are these still classified as 'unused'? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Danm36 (talk) • (contribs) 12:19, 1 September 2010

Sound files embed on the page?

If one could listen the sound files from the position of website (without downloading each other separately) it would be much comfotrable to listen to them all. Please sign if you like this idea. Xeoxer 09:14, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

Well this would be hella useful.Markfrompoland 03:18, 17 August 2011 (PDT)

Doomsday and Special Delivery

So, this may not be worth mentioning, but I think it should be safe to assume this would be news to most people at the time of writing. While adding the sound files for this new gamemode, I notice the files tend to be labeled in two different ways: "Announcer_sd_(soundfile)" or "Announcer_sd_monkeynaut(soundfile)"

The former tends to refer to the gamemode itself ("get the australium!", "the suitcase has just spawned", etc) while the latter refers to Poopy Joe and the story-focused lines.

I think it's pretty safe to assume the monkeynaut files were intended soley for Doomsday, while the rest were for all Special Delivery maps. Of course, since there's only the one map at the moment, this is still nothing more than speculation. Should we still attempt to categorize "Special Delivery" separate from "Doomsday"? If another SD map hits, it could prevent a lot of confusion.Wellgolly 23:59, 30 June 2012 (PDT)

Enginner-bot and teleporter

When the administrator says "destroy [the enginner-bot] before he builds a teleporter" is it "teleporter" or "teleportah" (like "spy's sappin' mah sentry") Loloweb 09:32, 24 December 2012 (PST)Loloweb

Drugs?

Can someone please explain to me why she says "kill" robots, when they really aren't biological? (Machinery cannot be killed, only disabled/destroyed) --Breakin' Benny 14:13, 18 May 2013 (PDT)

Why did valve remove "20 seconds left"?

I am wondering why valve removed the "Mission begins/ends in twenty seconds." line. The preceding unsigned comment was added by TheGamingDetective (talk) • (contribs)

Sign your posts when posting on talk pages. Secondly, the talk pages are for topics about the page content. That sort of thing would be better suited to the Steam Forums or Steam Discussions.  –  Kii (talk) 11:40, 6 December 2014 (PST)

Announcer responses

The Announcer responses page links to this page, but there's been several other announcers made since its creation in 2009. Such as Merasmus, Davy Jones, and the Mann brothers.
Both Merasmus and Mann brothers' voice lines are mentioned on the Halloween Boss voice responses page. Davy Jones could either get his own page for his responses or we could include his voice lines on the Halloween Boss voice responses (He's on a Halloween map). If anyone knows a different solution, let me know.

Consider also Announcer, which I expanded from a REDIRECT; but, that page links to the NPCs' bios. I note that most of the responses you mention have been placed under Halloween Boss voice responses, FWIW, so, yeah put DJ's responses there, at least until someone decides for put the boss responses elsewhere. I also note that not all of the Boss responses really fit the role of Announcing? Mann Brothers? Definitely. Bombinomicon, not so much, maybe? Mann Vs Machine Game Over

The Game over lines are left unused, and, as such, should be in the unused section.

Possible broken line explanation

In the MvM section for bomb alerts there is a line with a notice that it's probably meant to say "Another bomb is coming" but it's cut off. Isn't it possible that the line actually says "Another bomb has come"? It doesn't make sense that the line is cut off, since there is echo after it ends. Cheddartaco (talk) 06:40, 12 July 2021 (UTC)

She clearly says "Is coming" and it makes the most sense (As "Another bomb is come" is grammatically incorrect). It might've been an oversight by the developers, while editing the line (to add echo and such) they might've cut the line too short and didn't notice.
