The Persian Persuader first person view isn't consistent with the rest of the images. Could somebody fix this (and also if you don't mind showing me how to do these things myself)?
- What's inconsistent about it? And please sign your posts. Balladofwindfishes 13:02, 1 August 2011 (PDT)
- It looks as though in all the other images the Demoman is holding the weapon with two hands, but in the persian persuader one, the Demoman is holding the weapon with only one, and the shield isn't in the same place for just that image. Hojung1996 12:36, 2 August 2011 (PDT)
An Interesting Fact
The Chargin' Targe is the only team colored item shown in the store, the catalog, and the loadout screen colored blue for the BLU team, where every other team colored item is colored red for the RED team.Jarhead 05:00, 5 December 2010 (UTC)Jarhead
Grenade Launcher
Does this actually cause crits with the grenade launcher? -Firestorm 19:20, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes. -- Smashman... (t • s) 19:21, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
- no, it does not. and i modified the page to reflect this. also, i removed the erroneous trivia entry that said the Targe and the Gunslinger were the only weapons to be displayed while inactive. Coolguy. 08:01, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Did you? It seems I had to modified the page. Until I get some proof that it actually does crit with the Grenade Launcher, ZIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! AbeX300 05:23, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- no, it does not. and i modified the page to reflect this. also, i removed the erroneous trivia entry that said the Targe and the Gunslinger were the only weapons to be displayed while inactive. Coolguy. 08:01, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Viewmodel
Oh, huh, the other change i made is reverted as well. i'm removing the trivia entry again. the weapons that effect the model when not equiped are the razorback, targe, gunslinger, and gunboats. and an entry that says it is the only one except for all these is very trivial. Coolguy. 18:09, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
- It's not speaking about the character's model, but the viewmodel (the arms and hands you see when you're playing in first-person view), and only the Gunslinger and the Targe affect this — Wind 18:20, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
- The note is valid. Worldmodel = what everyone else sees. Viewmodel = what YOU see on yourself in first-person. --Firestorm 18:44, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
- If you want to get technical, all unlocks are c_models not w or v; they use one shared model for both first and third person, removing any distinction between world and viewmodels. -- Nineaxis 20:40, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
- The note is valid. Worldmodel = what everyone else sees. Viewmodel = what YOU see on yourself in first-person. --Firestorm 18:44, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
More View models
What about the new Horseless Headless Horsemann's Axe? Also, does it appear in the Grenade Launcher's view model?Lemon 08:36, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- it doesn't appear in the grenade launcher's view. As for HHHH, it should be on its page.--Focusknock s 09:23, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
Further explosive protection reduction and Team colored Targe.
I just noticied that theres nothing about the second Explosive Protection reduction and the change from Team-Colored to Yellow to make easier to spot a Targe demo from distance.
- Explosive, we know. Color change, we don't. Shock394 00:22, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
Also theres nothing on the Patch notes about it. Someone knows how it can be added to the page?Guil13st 16:12, 17 December 2010 (UTC)
- We don't have enough information now, the only thing for the color was it changed around December 2009-January 2010. Shock394 00:04, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Claidheamh Mòr?
At the moment, there is no picture of what the Claidheamh Mòr looks like with the Targe equipped. I would fix this myself, but I have no idea what the criteria for those pictures are, in addition to not being able to run TF2 with acceptable graphics settings at the moment. Could someone fix this for me?
- There aren't any first-person images of the Claidheamh Mor at all, it'll get filled in when those images are uploaded I'd expect. -- Psychopath 01:32, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, alright. Randomscripter 01:53, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Exploit with Xbox 360 Controller
I don't really want to say this, because i like this glitch, and valve will probably patch it if i say it, but shouldn't the article point that using a 360 controller to aim will allow the user to completely bypass the turn/rotation restrictions while charging? its been this way for quite a while, and I use a 360 controller sometimes on my laptop (as i dont have a good place to set a mouse) and i can verify that this is true. Zorakirby 00:05, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
I can confirm this last I tried emulating an Xbox 360 controller with my ps3 controller, it let's you do a 360 like the good ol' days. --Twistshock 08:18, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Spy on that, ya fancy, bloody wuss!
I just noticed the Targe clips through the Demo's Arm slightly in the world model. And yet it remains unmentioned. Should it not be noted? Lancer anti-tank Rocket 10:54, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, by all means. Ignore anybody who says clipping issues are not bugs/are not important. --Focusknock 10:58, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
First Person view with Saxxy?
Since there is a first-person viewmodel with the Persian Persuader that has the shield visible, it seems like it'd be logical that the Saxxy have one as well since they share animations, right? I'd load up itemtest myself to check, but hardware limitations prevent me from doing so. -- Psychopath 23:01, 4 July 2011 (PDT)
Charge length?
Anyone know how long a charge actually lasts for, and the distance covered? --Manta 08:46, 19 September 2011 (PDT)
Damage Resistance Bugged?
Are we sure that bug is still true? I know recently (last week) I've lit a targe'd demoman on fire and then shot him with the flare gun, and it only dealt 45 damage instead of 90. ==Fax Celestis talkcontribhome 19:12, 15 September 2012 (PDT)
Strange Does Not Count Kills
Many people have noticed that, despite killing enemies with it, the kill count of the Strange Chargin' Targe never goes up. People have tried bash kills as well as kills with a charged sword, but nothing ups the count. Darkstarzx2 13:13, 30 November 2012 (PST)
- Yeah this has been known since it came out. No way to fix this I believe unless valve does something. If you're going to note it don't bother since the strange variant has been out for a long time now. Ashes 13:38, 30 November 2012 (PST)
Strange Part: Buildings destroyed
It CAN be applied and the template is WRONG, I just tried, but I don't know how to change the template, plz helpppp I'm poor — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Railden (talk) • (contribs)
- Although it CAN be placed on the weapon, its kind of redundant since the Charge-n-Targe can't do damage to buildings. Ashes (talk) 09:41, 10 March 2014 (PDT)
Surviving Taunts - Pyro
I noticed that a overhealed Demoman with the Chargin' Targe equipped can survive the Armageddon and Execution taunts. Should this go under bugs or trivia? Bmkw97 (talk) 16:25, 2 June 2014 (PDT)
- No. As the Chargin Targe gives a resistance to fire damage. And the over heal gave him more health. It is neither a bug nor trivia. Ashes (talk) 16:42, 2 June 2014 (PDT)
Levels
These now drop with randomized levels as of the December 17, 2015 update. Matteomax 23:13 1/30/2016
Festive 3D Models Flipped?
I'm pretty sure the festive 3D models are flipped respective to the default one, i.e., the back is shown, rather than the front. I don't know how to fix this, but it seems like a problem. Kestrelguy (talk) 00:30, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
