Haunted companies and signs

There are a series of spooky posters on this map that are parodies of the regular posters. For instance "Cornhell" is a parody of Cornwell. I'm not sure if I should add these posters to this page, the Companies page, the Halloween References page, or give them their own page. Xikylo (talk) 19:35, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

Ghost train

@GrampaSwood and @Yossef

I don't suppose the issue is forgetting that the undead "Train" prop scares as a Ghost.

A comment was made that there is no scaring Ghost on the map. But, I would argue that there is a ghost on the map; it happens to be in the form of a dearly-departed train, that scares like any other Ghost, but also happens to strangely retain the Train-kill (scared to death?) capability into the afterlife.

An alternative to the conjoined links "Ghost train" could be to put in a comma ("Ghost, Train"), because there is a ghost hazard on the map; or create a Ghost Train hazard on Environmental death.

I'd argue that, while the train does scare like a ghost, unless there's an actual ghost on the map the page should not claim there is a "ghost" hazard as it may confuse players (the first thing I think of when I see ghost would not be the train).

By your argument, just calling it a Train may confuse players ("the last thing I think of when I see Train is that it scares" (oh, wait, what does it look like?))
We could bother the developers to see if their intent that the prop be a Ghost and a Train. Sure, HHH scares and we don't call it a ghost, but it has its own page to explain it (not that Ghost Train should get a page).
Either way, there is a Scare hazard on the map; the developers called their scare hazard a Ghost Train; what are we going to call it?
Hazards: Ghost Train (kills like a Train and scares like a Ghost)
That is a bit wordy for an Infobox and redundant to both the Lead and Quote; I think "Ghost Train" says it succinctly, and the Lead any Quote clear up any imagined confusion with few words. I don't think the readers need any more spoon-feeding than that. The alternative is to make a Ghost Train hazard on Environmental death, but it would be nothing other than what is already in the Lead (Pictogram minus.png Oppose).

I'd personally prefer either just putting "Ghost train", or making a small section on the Train page talking about the functionality of the Ghost train and linking to that (perhaps using {{anchor}}).

Pictogram plus.png  I agree with Gramps, we can use the compound word "Ghost Train" as one, and make it redirect it to Train. The Train article already features a picture of this maps Ghost Train already, so players will intuitively understand that the main function of this hazard, is like the normal Train. I have made a Ghost Train mechanics section on Megalo. This is similar to how we have reported peculiar mechanics on other special maps. This solution also incorporates other aspects of the mechanics of the totality of the Ghost Train, the platform and sounds.

The info that you provided is very good and well documented, however, I think that maybe it can be added to the "Location" section, since the description is based on a Location of the map. Perhaps adding the location name and a description of what it is could be nice. Regarding the Ghost Train itself, it can stay as it is,meaning just explaining the train and the features, not the location. Yossef | Talk | Contributions 14:59, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
