Shouldn't this be called Obtaining General achievements? - LingoSalad 00:07, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Pictogram plus.png Agree I think it should, but it may mess up links or something so I'm not going to attempt it as I'm new to this... Matt2313 15:37, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Pictogram plus.png Agree I also think this is a good idea, but would be a major change, first you would create the new page, then copy this page's content to the new one, and then finally delete this page's content and turn it in to a re-direct so the links don't change--Nintyuk 17:49, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
Pictogram plus.png Agree Yes, should be but it does still makes sense as it is.--Son Of Bazzar 08:32, 9 November 2011 (PST)

Rift Walker strategy

Another viable tactic is playing engineer and taking your teleporter just before your sentry gets a kill, can some one who is better at writing in style add this.--Nintyuk 17:44, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Head of the Class

Do we need to play for the entire round of each class? Don't know if this is a bug, then, because I played as a class about 5 seconds before the end of a King of the Hill round (for a total of 2-ish minutes) and received the achievement. Tabs 01:20, 19 November 2011 (PST)

The Great Deflate

Does one need to see the Balloonicorn (be in Pyroland themselves) in order for the kill to count towards the achievement? That should probably be clarified. Snot Man 19:47, 4 July 2012 (PDT)

BFF2

I got this one by being dominated by two people at the same time. But I'm not sure if that's the intended behaviour (having your ass kicked seems too easy to be worth an achievement), so I'm wary to change the page without asking here first. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Dendodge 08:55, 9 July 2012 (PDT)

World Traveler

Should we up the difficulty of this achievement since Hydro is extremely rare in server rotations? Dattix "Dusty" Kochiya 21:24, 24 August 2012 (PDT)

  • Although Hydro is rare in the modern world, it still can be found on some servers. Just because it's hard to find a specific map doesn't make the actual achievement any harder to obtain. Samuel Enthers 14:50, 17 September 2013 (PDT)
  • Not to mention that both achievements related to Hydro can be attained simply by starting a server oneself. Correct? Gosh Josh (talk) 19:07, 3 May 2015 (PDT)

On The Rocks/Running With Scissors

I'm not sure if this is important enough to add it to the main article, but I noticed that progress for the rocks achievement lasts between multiple rounds, maps and even servers (And I assume the same applies for the scissors achievement, but I haven't tested that out). So if anyone who actually knows how to edit wiki articles sees this, feel free to put that somewhere. LaureGamer 2006 (talk) 23:34, 2 July 2022 (UTC)

This would require some proof of it carrying over between rounds/maps/servers.

More detail for the difficulty of getting achievements

How about instead of using a vague estimate of the difficulty of getting achievements, we separate the difficulty into 3 different things, those being: 1: Skill How much skill it takes to do the achievement 2: Luck How much luck you need to do the achievement 3: Time How much time you need to spend to get the achievement Examples (only the difficulty):

Escape the heat: (stop afterburn by going into water) Skill: Very low Luck: Low Time: Low (optional) Overall difficulty: Easy

Hard to kill: (get a 5 killstreak) Skill: Low - Average Luck: Low Time: Medium Overall difficulty: Average

Metal Massacre: (kill 1 million robots) Skill: Low Luck: Low Time: Extremely long Overall difficulty: Very hard

Ain't got no time to bleed: (kill 3 people with the equalizer without being healed) Skill: Very High Luck: Medium (enemies are easier to kill while they are distracted, which may not occur in pubs, also, random crits) Time: Low - Long (depends on luck and who your enemies are, if your enemies are unskilled it will be much easier to do the achievement)

I'd say these are not very necessary, if an achievement requires a lot of luck, skill, or time, it can be separately mentioned. It doesn't need to be mentioned on all of them, however.
