I think there's an audio sync problem, the hit sounds are a little earlier than the time you hit enemies in the video. It seems to be the same delay in all the video so you should be able to fix this by delaying the audio globally — Wind 14:24, 6 October 2013 (PDT)

Don't forget the new option to share it with someone else. There is a cvar to make the dialog show up again if you have dismissed it permanently.--Henke37 (talk) 13:37, 21 September 2013 (PDT)
Hinaomi will borrow me the hat but i can't think what is the best way to demonstrate this one. Any suggestion? also what Henke37 said , is that necessary? Karmacharger 10:02 PM 10/4/2013 (PDT)
No idea how to demonstrate this. Try something and we'll see if it sticks~ Not sure if demonstrating view sharing is worth it, it's pretty hard to demonstrate accurately too since it involves showing bits of the UI which is generally not done in demonstration videos — Wind 14:24, 6 October 2013 (PDT)
Split screen comparison (with the hat / without) on every robot classes included carrier tank
And i'm not sure how Tank works , ent_create tank_boss command to spawn a Tank at your crosshair But this is what happen if you spawn it on a random MvM map , i've realized they are moving back to the location where does the tank usually appear , However the tank will not move if it wasn't a MvM map. also you can kill a tank with one shot lol and do i really need to show the advanced option that can share it with teammates? Karmacharger 4:31 AM 10/8/2013
Then don't use an MvM map to just show a non-moving tank model, it should be good enough. No need for the sharing option — Wind 14:06, 13 October 2013 (PDT)

Actually you don't need to equip the hat to enable the romevision just have it in your backpack. As for the weapons Soldier's rocket launcher are blocking the chest. means the armor isn't really visible Karmacharger 2:38 PM 10/28/2013 (PDT)

Ok, it seems that doing demo for this weapon is harder than I thought due to the weapon plagued with bugs:
1. If I do a headshot before and then do a scoped bodyshot, the head counter will still increase instead of decrease. This applies for all scoped bodyshot afterward, even if you missed scope shots plenty of time.
2. The weapon actually charges as fast as Sniper Rifle even at 0 head. The -20% base charge rate penalty does not apply at all.
Seems the problem for 1. is because random critical hit was disabled. If I enable it again, the weapon will function as intended (head will decrease for scoped bodyshot again).
I guess I'll need to experiment and update the main page before proceeding with this demonstration. --ThePsycho (talk) 05:11, 26 August 2013 (PDT)
Switch the order you shoot the dispenser and kill the heavy in the second clip (ie, do all the scoped vs. noscoped, then get the kill). Other than that, it looks fine (assuming that the charge rates are accurate, since there's almost no different at 0 heads.) — Armisael (T · C) 19:59, 27 August 2013 (PDT)
Don't charge up fully on every scoped shot in the second clip - use several different charges. Also, the snipers don't scope at the same time in the 0 head charge rate comparison clip. — Armisael (T · C) 21:35, 31 August 2013 (PDT)
I'll try to re-render that comparison clip with higher framerate so I can sync the scope time part more precisely. They should be scoping in at the same time though since I was using script for that clip. --ThePsycho (talk) 14:31, 1 September 2013 (PDT)
I just noticed that the sound isn't lined up in the first clip when you scope headshot the pyro. Otherwise it looks fine - if you can fix that, go ahead and upload the file (along with a youtube link). Hopefully you'll have to redo this one shortly when valve fixes the bazaar bargain so it isn't a straight upgrade. — Armisael (T · C) 08:07, 5 September 2013 (PDT)
Fixed the out of sync sound for 1st clip (Source Recorder probably acting up at that part). Looking forward to redo this as well. Seems most players (and maybe Valve although I already reported this to them) do not even aware of Bazaar's current straight upgrade status despite the nerfed extra charge rate. --ThePsycho (talk) 09:26, 5 September 2013 (PDT)

I've updated the main project page to have a link to the patch for the map, on the same line the map was on. My apologies - I had forgotten that it had been archived.
Also, you seem to have the right idea, but since this is your first demonstration, I would recommend you upload a ~15 second clip of you on the map to make sure that you have the technical details right. Nothing is more annoying that having to redo every last one of your clips for something minor, like a custom crosshair. — Armisael (T · C) 07:13, 14 July 2013 (PDT)
I looked at the previous Chargin' Targe Demonstration video, and it starts the demonstration with the player charging towards Soldier and hitting the Soldier with the Bottle after the shield bash. Next, the player just charges towards the Soldier, shield bashing but not attacking. Should I do that same? -WDZOrangeJuice (talk) 17:22, 14 July 2013 (PDT)
No shield bash occurs on the first charge; it's just the bottle. You should do that as well. When in doubt, duplicate the previous demonstration. — Armisael (T · C) 17:25, 14 July 2013 (PDT)

Feel free to. — Armisael (T · C) 06:57, 21 July 2013 (PDT)
This might be nitpick but at the charge impact damage comparison with Eyelander, the 3D HUD still shows you holding a bottle. You should load up the map with the correct equipment to reload the 3D HUD before rendering the demo (same goes for the resistance test where the 3D HUD doesn't show the Demoman with Chargin' Targe). And maybe reduce the size of the labeling text so it doesn't overlap with the kill feed in resistance test. The rest looks good enough. --ThePsycho (talk) 13:22, 9 September 2013 (PDT)
The only content objection I have is the issue with the killfeed. Try to see if you can figure out a good way to avoid overlap - split it onto two lines, perhaps? Unfortunately, I'm going to have to ask you to rerecord all the clips, because the 3D HUD doesn't play nicely with srcdemo2. I apologize for this, since it really was my fault for not testing thoroughly enough. — Armisael (T · C) 23:03, 9 September 2013 (PDT)
What are your aliasing setting at? I'm noticing jaggies on a lot of the models (though I suppose that might be since the video is being upscaled to 1080p when I watch fullscreen). Other than that, good. — Armisael (T · C) 21:05, 16 September 2013 (PDT)

I need help with the thirdperson view of the Darwin's Danger Shield. How do I change the angle and zoom of the camera like in the old demonstration video? --ThePsycho (talk) 09:10, 25 August 2013 (PDT)
There are some problems, you should show regular damage (melee), the sniper must also be killed. But I like the survivable headshot idea! UltimentM (talk) 00:22, 26 August 2013 (PDT)
Thanks for the feedback. So I should also show that you can also survive 2 direct melee hits with the Darwin right?
I didn't have the Sniper killed in Soldier clip since I want the player see the extra amount of health lost when equipping the Darwin. But when I rethink about it, I should have just kill the Sniper outright.
Also found out that there's a small black border on the left during the headshot clip. Weird since I didn't see that in the original video preview and only appears after I rendered it. Will fix that as well. --ThePsycho (talk) 02:54, 26 August 2013 (PDT)
Show a bullet damage resistance that isn't a headshot first, and don't kill the shield sniper. Reduce the size of the label text so it doesn't overlap the kill feed (personally, I use TF2 secondary as my labeling font). Other than that, it looks good. — Armisael (T · C) 19:59, 27 August 2013 (PDT)
Alright. Also the patch released today has the option to turn on 3D Player Model Class HUD (the class HUD in the bottom left will be replaced with the 3rd person model that can also show the Darwin Danger's Shield on the back). Should I have that enabled for the video as well? Example Image --ThePsycho (talk) 03:30, 28 August 2013 (PDT)
(EDIT) On a second thought, nvm. It seems the update to the HUD messed up the splitscreen HUD as it'll just simply show the RED Scout instead. Also for some reason there's always a ball spawning at the BLU spawn location everytime I start up the map. --ThePsycho (talk) 03:36, 28 August 2013 (PDT)
Were this any other weapon being demonstrated, I'd tell you to ignore the new HUD icon. I'll have an updated version of the splitscreen HUDs uploaded by tomorrow (or tell you if I can't fix the issue). The beachball is there for TF2's birthday - it should go away shortly, if it isn' already. — Armisael (T · C) 07:15, 28 August 2013 (PDT)
Look at the new discussion post. You should be clear to work now. — Armisael (T · C) 12:47, 29 August 2013 (PDT)
The rockets are fired at drastically different times in the explosive clip. Also, could you rerecord the headshot with the shield clip so the sniper doesn't rescope? The visible laser dot is distracting. — Armisael (T · C) 21:35, 31 August 2013 (PDT)
There appears to be a bug causing the sandvich meter to show up even if you don't have it equipped. Please add this file to your tf/custom folder and re-render (you shouldn't need to rerecord). Then remove the file. Go ahead and push the file alongside the video when you do, because everything else looks fine. — Armisael (T · C) 08:07, 5 September 2013 (PDT)

I don't know, that should already be clear from the beginning of the first clip. Any official clarification on this? - Uufje 05:53, 29 September 2013 (PDT)
No need, it's clear enough and the description of the item specifically says "You are marked for death while active, and for short period after switching weapons" — Wind 17:29, 29 September 2013 (PDT)
I think you shouldn't cloak before you shoot the Soldier, I think you should have some footage of you using up the cloak time and shooting a target instead of demonstrating it for the first demonstration. I think you should also use split screens to compare the cloak duration with and without the L'etranger. -WDZOrangeJuice (talk) 23:34, 19 July 2013 (PDT)
Cloaking before shooting the soldier is entirely appropriate. The splitscreen is the right thing to do, however - you should do it for all three watches. Also, you sit on the backpack screen for way too long. — Armisael (T · C) 06:57, 21 July 2013 (PDT)
What do you mean by all three watches? The Cloak and Dagger as well as the Dead Ringer too? UltimentM (talk) 18:07, 26 July 2013 (PDT)
Whats the explosion noise at 1:44? Also, a picture-in-picture of the non-etranger dead ringer timeout would help in the last clip, to show that the threshold for damage resistance matches that of the cloak time of the regular dead ringer — Wind 14:06, 13 October 2013 (PDT)
The first clips no longer show that range has no effect on damage.
The level 3 damage clip should show just bullets on one bot, just rockets on another, and both on the third.
Don't change position during the damage clips.
If you're going to taunt in the damage clips, do it after the level 3 damage clip.
If the disarmed period is shorter when you kill the engineer, show it in a splitscreen. If not, don't show it at all.
Graphical artifacting at 1:52
You dropped the clip showing that it can be faster to let your sentry autotarget - why? — Armisael (T · C) 18:28, 7 August 2013 (PDT)
So do i need to do the same like the old wrangler demo?
Alright will do that.
had to change position at the lvl 3 sentry clip because the lvl 3 sentry is too tall it's totally blocking the pyro i can't see him.
About the taunt it was suppose to be the first clip isn't it? if you want. i'll taunt after killed everyone with the lvl 3 sentry.
For the disarmed period. im not sure what are you talking about , tell me what do i need to do.
For graphical artifacting , it don't see that in the original video file. Youtube just messed it up.
The reason i dropped the clip because the map no longer let me build the sentry in spawn zone.
But Armisael , sometime it's hard for me to understand what are you saying. can you not to use such a difficulty words and grammar to explain? Sorry. Karmacharger 2:49 AM 8/9/2013 (PDT)
Can you see over the level three sentry if you stand on something behind it?
Taunt after getting the kills with the level 3 sentry
Add the clip you dropped back in - just move the sentry forward a bit out of the spawn zone.
When you switch away from the wrangler or die, your sentry is deactivated and shielded for some time. Is that length of time the same when you switch weapons and when you die? If it isn't, show that in a splitscreen. — Armisael (T · C) 19:56, 8 August 2013 (PDT)
Don't teleport the bots in for the clip at 1:25 - it looks really sloppy and it doesn't give any warning. Pick the sentry up or something. — Armisael (T · C) 23:29, 15 August 2013 (PDT)
I will also add that you should show rocket jumping with sentries normally (maybe heal with some health packs or something), using bullets to get over something, and maybe a clip with the mini-sentry. UltimentM (talk) 23:35, 15 August 2013 (PDT)
if i take the sentry to the spawn zone it will explode itself , it does the same if i pick up on the spawn zone (where i'm standing). So Armisael i am waiting for your order. Karmacharger 10:09 PM 8/19/2013 (PDT)
Then stand in front of the spawn zone (and move the bots back if you have to). The bullet jumping is also a good idea, for at least one of the sentry levels. — Armisael (T · C) 10:21, 19 August 2013 (PDT)
In the first clip, the bots should be at different distances so that autotarget doesn't spin between all three at once. Also, the wrangled clip should be on the right. Don't use a clip where the unwrangled sentry shoots before it hits level 3.
Second clip is good. Could you also do a horizontal jump? — Armisael (T · C) 11:51, 25 August 2013 (PDT)

Armisael , does it acceptable or what? Karmacharger 12:14 AM 9/1/2013 (PDT)
Sorry, I thought I had responded to this. If you can't get a clean setdown (ie, doesn't fire until level 3), then just cut the clip. — Armisael (T · C) 21:35, 31 August 2013 (PDT)
Valve has made several changes to the HUD over the last few months. To account for that, weaponref.cfg has been changed. The main changes are alterations to how damage text shows up (shows healing, critical hits, and batches), and the inclusion of the new 3D class icons. Since some weapons are glitched in the class icons, you can use no3d and go3d in console to turn the 3d icons on and off, respectively. Be consistent in a particular video.
Additionally, the splitscreen HUDs have been updated to account for changes valve made while adding the 3D icons. If you're using the 2D icons in a splitscreen, be aware that the locations of the some elements have changed by a small amount - don't mix old footage and new footage. — Armisael (T · C) 12:47, 29 August 2013 (PDT)
So. In retrospect, the 3D HUDs are a bad idea. They don't play nicely with srcdemo2, causing them to animate at varying speeds in a single clip (though universally faster than they should). I apologize for this - I should've tested further. I've altered weaponref.cfg to automatically disable them. It's a single character change, but an important one. Thank you for your understanding. — Armisael (T · C) 23:03, 9 September 2013 (PDT)
In what has become a depressingly common turn of events, I messed up the config files. Specifically, the three-way splitscreen files will screw up your in-game fonts. Redownload that package if you're going to be using those. Sorry. — Armisael (T · C) 15:40, 13 October 2013 (PDT)
