That '70s Chapeau is a community-created promotional cosmetic item for all classes. It is based on the hat and sunglasses worn by the drug dealer in the video game Hitman: Absolution; a newsboy cap that sits on top of the class's head, accompanied by mirror shades. When worn by the Engineer and Medic, the shades lack transparency. When worn by the Sniper, no shades are present. The cap slightly changes colors depending on the classes:
- On the Scout, Soldier and Engineer, the cap is brown.
- On the Pyro, Demoman, Heavy and Sniper, the cap is dark gray.
- On the Medic and Spy, the cap has a darker team-colored color scheme.
This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Hitman: Absolution on Steam before November 19th, 2012.
That '70s Chapeau was later contributed to the Steam Workshop, at Valve's request.
