Editing the {{Dictionary}}

Hi, please don't edit entries like {{Dictionary/common strings/normal}} directly, but just the appropriate entries in {{Dictionary/common strings}}. A bot automatically generates the translation switching templates and would overwrite your changes. { TidB | t | c } 15:42, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

Small edits

Hi.

This user likes to edit articles in teeny baby bits.

A characteritic/plague of wikis is the tendency to have been built piecemeal by many small, uncoordinated small edits with no real commitment of time to complete a consistent whole (until someone does).

So yeah, look for red links; that works. But just because a translated page exists doesn't absolutely mean it is done. I have to bet a lot of "translated" pages are way out of date.

You use the wiki, right? Most of my edits came about from finding a mess or missing content when I wanted to learn something about the game (found by just using the wiki). I have found English pages years out of date.

The Heavy article suggests another area. All the English text showing from the translation-switched templates tells you that the templates need work. Since the text in these templates is in snippets, you can easily work them in tiny baby edits.

But what do I know, I am an English translator.

Translation Suggestion

If your looking for new pages to translate, may I suggest Bonk! Atomic Punch/ar? It hasn't been updated since early 2011, and could really use an update. Jboby1 (talk) 06:22, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
