yo, i feel like the pyro's face seems to have a bit too bright of a glint on all of the "hat and cape only" images. what do you think?
Seared Sorcerer Hat and Cape Only
It definitely does, but changing the lighting or rotations for one style would probably make it look strange compared to the other one. I didn't think to check how it would look like on the mask since the second style didn't exist when I made the images for the first. I'll look into how I can make the second style look normal and then remake the first style using those settings.
that would be awesome! thank you for your work
Where do I find the Seared Sorcerer????
The Steam community market should be your most reliable method.
I'm not entirely sure if you knew, but Template:Classimg exists. It basically applies the categories and licensing for you. Similar to Template:pid. Make sure to read the documentation on how to use it. I imagine this will make it easier to do these kinds of images.

Ah, thank you. I don't think I've seen that one being used before, and I can't seem to find these things on my own. This will save a decent amount of time overall.
If you're looking for something to do
Howdy! There's quite a lot of HLMV images in the "improve images" category, mainly tournament medal images. There's a few others in there, too. If you ever need something to do, these images have been in need of replacements for a while! Thank you for everything you've done, so far!
There are also a lot of tournament medal class galleries that have no images at all. I felt that it's best to prioritize adding images to where there are none before improving the ones that at least exist. Of course I can switch to fixing the images that are listed in the "improve images" category if that's considered higher priority, someone just needs to let me know. And thank you.
Recent paint variant pictures
Hello, first off, I'd like to thank you for working on paint variant pictures. I'd like to inform you that there's two errors on two different items that I'd like you (or anyone else) to fix it.
On the Bazaar Bauble, the Soldier is supposed to be BLU with the BLU paints. And on the Head of Defense, the cable is supposed to be orange on RED and yellow on BLU (following the "Cream Spirit" format).
Thank you for your work.
Oh I see the problem. Thank you for telling me, I probably would not have caught on myself. I'll fix them before doing any other cosmetics.
Creating many, *many* new paint preview images for much of the new items. Thank you so much!
Thank you for your help in redoing the Madness vs Machines/Titanium Tank: Reforged donor medal images! You really stepped up in my time of need, and your new images look great!
For your golden hearts, you get a gold star.
You've uploaded over 100 (high-quality) images so far, keep up the good work.
Yes, that's a copy and paste from the Wikiachievement I gave to Tekinz. The quality of images from both of you are nearly the same.
Hey, I noticed you're a pretty active image uploader. I'm also active in image uploading and we might end up working on the same projects. Do you have any medium of communication we could speak in to let each other know of our work? The wiki has an IRC which we could talk in, or if you prefer another way of communication please let me know.
Also, heres the pastebin Gabrielwoj was talking about in a previous topic; https: // pastebin(dot)com/L3v8rbGi
You're doing good some fine work keep it up.
Sorry for being away for so long. I had to focus a lot on my studies because I had missed out on a lot of things after being ill for a while. Sadly, education in my country has come to an almost complete halt starting today and at least for the next few days due to the virus, so now I have a lot more free time again.
I'll check out the pastebin during the weekend and hopefully get some things done soon after. About the communication, I would rather communicate through Discord or even Steam chat since I still haven't wrapped my head around how the IRC works, but I can do my best to learn how to use it better if that's more comfortable for everyone else.
Thanks for letting me know that I'm doing well. Again, I'll sort what's left to sort out and understand what my uni's plan of remote education is and then I'll start contributing images again.
The time gap between messages is completely fine and I understand prioritizing whats more important with your life. Sorry to hear about the unfortunate halt with your education as well. That virus has been giving a lot of people a rough time recently and hopefully you're during well during this time.
The IRC isn't a requirement, but it is useful for discussing edits as they are shown in the IRC in real time as they are posted. If you want, you can add me on my Steam profile and I can run you through how to get the whole thing started and answer any questions you might have about it. My Steam account is in my user page, just add a comment on my profile before adding me because I might ignore the request. We can also use Steam for direct contact to discuss projects if you want since I myself don't really talk much in the IRC.
If you want more images to improve, ask me.
I'll be doing a list myself for other images that need improvement but aren't on the "Category:Images that need improving" page. I was the person who originally started doing this project (of adding images to improvement), but there's so many that I decided to stop, so I wouldn't spam too much.
I'll be putting on a Pastebin, so I can update the list every time without having to generate a link URL.
I was thinking of going through a couple of images on that page every so often when I have time. It would probably be easier for me if I stuck to that page, but you could point out some higher priority requests on your Pastebin. It would be great if you could let me know where my help is needed most.
And while we're talking: is it normal for user talk topics to be so buggy? I have currently only encountered this on my previous "Terror-antula image" page. The only message that consistently shows up is the very first one. Other messages only show up after every other refresh. And even when they do, every other one is skipped. I have only seen the very last message on that topic twice after several dozen refreshes. I've tried looking at the page on several different browsers, two different computers, and on my phone using cellular data. Even after two days the situation has not improved. I'm mostly asking this because you two didn't seem to have a problem writing new messages, as if you were able to see things correctly, which makes me think something is wrong on my end.
Yup, it's a problem that everyone has ever since we implemented this new Discussion. We kinda have to deal with it, but we already suggested for a revert (to go back to the previous talk system), don't know when it'll happen, if it ever even happens. I managed to reply to your responses by going to Recent Changes, expanding the Discussion item and clicking on the last timestamp (so I can read the reply in question). Then I'd open the talkpage normally and reply from there.
It's pretty difficult to manage getting all replies to a topic with a Refresh, the system is that buggy.
Pretty sure that's HLMV, SFM has a different kind of shading.
Your image looks much better than the previous one, so good job. My only criticism is that you're not running HLMV with Very High quality textures (the Medic's emblem shouldn't be that pixelated).
Here's how the emblem should look like in very high texture settings:
You can try downloading my Pre-configured dxsupport.cfg to see if that fixes it (make sure to backup your dxsupport.cfg before, just in case).
It was made in HLMV. I just downloaded the config that was linked to me and that has fixed the pixelated medic badge problem.
Should I update this image later with the very high textures or is it fine as it is?
Also, why do you think it was made in SFM? Is there something that I could have done better?
The pose looks odd to me, it looks like something made specifically for the cosmetic. Nothing about the quality or anything, no worries.
Well, if the file I sent to you works like the picture I sent to you, then you can replace it if you wish, but it's otherwise fine as is. Though, high quality textures will look better for your future uploads, if you're planing on doing new pics.
Changing my mat_picmip setting to anything lower than 0 causes the gray cornea issue. I fixed that with the fix provided on a different page, I just hope that not many other things are broken the same way.
Only a few cosmetics/weapons (Chops Pipe and Quick-Fix are some examples) have the same problem, but no new cosmetics (ever since the Workshop integration) seems to have the same issue.
If you ever feel like needing to equip a weapon on an image, always make sure to use Stock weapons (that also means, no festive/botkiller attachments). So there won't be any issue with Quick-Fix since you wouldn't be using it anyway.
