Team (A bit more final now)

Notes

Flag-us.png G-Mang
G-Mang is our one-allowed "buddy", meaning he is an established competitive player and can't play any of the default competitive classes. He is not included above for this reason but is still available to play.
Flag-ru.png DaimoN
Unknown status/On a wikibreak?
Flag-us.png The Neotank
Mostly harmless. Freeloader.
Flag-au.png Pilk
Supposedly dropped, but still plays if necessary.

Matches
Ranked (official) matches for the group phase start on September 12. More information on schedules, times and competition structure is forthcoming.
Practice
We will need to schedule a practice game or two so we can sort out timezones and get everyone in one place. We also need to figure out things like the team dynamic. Even if we are playing for fun, we don't want to get stomped, right?
Timezones
The usual play time for ETF2L matches is 20:00-21:30 Paris time (currently CEST) on Sundays. This is 20:00 Paris time on Sunday, 12 September. If we are able to be somewhat flexible with match times, we will try for later matches (perhaps around 22:00). This should mean G-Mang will be able to play more games (because he works earlier on). If anyone has any clashes, please make them known on the talk page.
Things you must do
  1. Read the competition rules. It is essential that you understand these as best you can. Contact WindPower or Pilk if you need some clarification on any aspect of them.
  2. Use the nickname during games that you signed up with on the ETF2L website.
  3. Record a demo of every game you play. Make sure to name them in a way that makes sense and uniquely identifies the game.

Points of order

Avatars

We need a high quality group avatar. If anyone is willing to make one or request one (I will be experimenting and making requests for example), link it on the talk page for review. Once we get one, do we want to all have uniform avatars based on the group avatar?

Buddy

We are allowed one player, called a Buddy, who is an established competitive player in our team. They are not allowed to play any of the original competitive classes (Medic, Sniper, Soldier, Demoman, Scout). If anyone knows someone qualified in this area we should probably get one sorted. User:G-Mang is a bro and is over-qualified for this position (which is a good thing). Pictogram tick.png Done G-Mang has kindly offered to be our buddy. This may be subject to change if anyone has anyone else in mind that can definitely show up at the match times and is also highly qualified.

Mercs

Mercs are temporary players not on our team that we may have to rely on if some of of us aren't available. We are allowed up to two mercs, and 3 if the other team agrees. We will play this by ear and we should have a couple of people online at the time who could fill in for someone else.
