Talk:December 2, 2010 Patch
From Team Fortress Wiki
how do you get patch info?
how do people find this stuff out before it comes on the news feed for tf2? Hyperhopper 00:24, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- Because it already is on the news feed for tf2 — Wind 00:25, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
The "Portal 2 Pin is now gift wrappable" may be intended as an indirect confirm of it being connected to Portal 2? Cthulhu1992 00:29, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- I don't know what else you could confirm from "Portal 2 Pin." Fendermcbender 00:32, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
All I know is you people are fast, I go to make the page after linking it on the Portal Pin and it's done. XD Sage J. Fox 00:48, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Destroying Sappers
Maybe it's just me, but I liked being able to destroy sappers. Other than the constant spamming of it and what not, I felt it was a legitimate strategy. Say you're disguised as an Engie and you're trying to make people believe you're the real Engie, and you place a sapper on one of the buildings while the real Engie is away and then some chump walks up and is about to unload half a metric ton of lead into your ass and then on the fly you remember, "Oh hey! I can destroy this thing!" So you do and then this chump is like, "OH HEY! THAT ENGIE AIN'T NO SPAH! I BETTER GO FIND THE REAL FOO WHO SAPPED HIS BUILDENS!" and then he runs away, giving you able opportunity to stick your knife in his back. That's my opinion. Agree or disagree I think valve should tweak it and implement it. Mr.JimmyBojangles 00:46, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- This is not the place for this kind fo discussion. Use the Steam forums instead. -- OluapPlayer (t)

- What's the point of having a discussion page if you're not gonna discuss anything? Plus the steam forums are inhabited by idiots. Mr.JimmyBojangles 01:01, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- Talk pages are to discuss the article, not the subject the article is about. --CruelCow (talk) 01:02, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- Oh okay! I'll keep that in mind next time. Thanks. Mr.JimmyBojangles 01:11, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

Hat Image Overhaul
Now that nearly every paintable hat has been "tweaked" in the update, it may be necessary to redo all the current pictures that this wiki has for painted hats to maintain the accuracy of the images in general AttorneyAtMusic 00:56, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
TF2 Beta
The Beta isnt an "undocumented change/addition". It's a separate "game" (app), so it has nothing to do with this changelog. --King2500 01:22, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Integrated several improvements to contributed items provided by their authors
What is this mean? What weapons and items got fixed? Balladofwindfishes 01:28, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Another patch?
I think steam just downloaded another small one for me.--Jordan 02:48, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- Same. Mine was 674.5kb. No news on it yet Sentry 02:51, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- Noticed it too. The news link leads to the same page as the earlier update though, so this one must have some undocumented things in it AttorneyAtMusic 03:15, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Undocumented Changes
- Fixed hats not loading correct material files
- Fixed hats and misc items showing up as white regardless of being painted or not
OH WHOOPS IGNORE THIS Fendermcbender 02:54, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- Where did you find the undocumented changes anyway? Also, wasn't the white hats only for DirectX 8 users? It doesn't need to be added though. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sentry (talk) • (contribs) 02:56, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Directx 8 paint still not working
I talked to my friend who uses directx 8. I tried showing him my gold ghastly gibus, but he still couldn't see it
- First, sign your talk with four tildes. Second, it didn't fix DX8 paint. It only made the textures not look awful and white. Zoolooman 22:00, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- They didn't add paint to dx8, they fixed some of the paintable hats showing up completely white (when viewed in dx8 mode). The patch notes are more clear now. PS: sign your comments with ~~~~ Natemckn 21:57, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
How about adding the changes to the beta?
I've heard that the beta has just been updated, wondered if there should also be a "Last beta patch" section as well as the other patch sections. Meower 00:12, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
List of changed hats
It would probably be worthwhile for someone to collect the hats that were updated and put them as a note next to the patch not. I know this is a really old patch, but it changed a lot hats and on newer patches we would list the changed hats. Balladofwindfishes 18:17, 16 May 2012 (PDT)
